Imagine if the person she trusts thats there and helped her infiltrate firefly facility is Abbie? Imagine once Ellie sees Dina's kid get taken, she doesn't know where they would be. So she has to go to Abbie for help. And rest of the game is Abbie and Ellie working together similar to Joel and Ellie. Imagine if it's co-op?
Now we're getting fun! I love these sequel ideas! Who knows maybe someone from the Naughty Gods team might see this and take some ideas back

A man can dream.

But in all honesty I think a story like that would be great. I would love if abbie gets motivated when she see's other kids being held there or people being held there, and she sees kids that remind her of lev. Who I think should be a tragic story that plays out across abbie and ellie's treck to find this grand firefly base. Imagine if at first abbie and ellie still have issues, but abbie helps ellie because lev was taken by firefly's so they have a common goal.

I would have lev be already dead in the morgue with other autopsy's. Or have lev live and be there? But I would want abbie and both ellie to reconcile during their journey. Have abbie sacrifice herself in a raw way, that saves lev who then through staying with abbie knows how to survive so lev takes Dina's kid and gets out of there, heads to jackson.

Like abbie fighting the firefles seeing them doing this to other kids, have it where they were about to operate on lev and abbie busts in and now knows from Joel's perspective seeing his girl on the table what they were going to do.

I think that would be great to come full circle.

So imagine if abbie gets lev out, and then gets them both out the compound. Then makes a decision to go back in to help ellie who stayed behind to spare the kids.

That would be dope.

I would love if there was someone who was connected to Abbie's father who worked with him. And has her own clinic separate from firefly who has been studying the infection. Have abbie protect her as she carries ellie's body out the compound.

God fucking damn!

That would be some shit.

What could they do with Part 3?
Feels like Ellie’s story is finished.I don’t think Ellie or Abbey are going after each other again. Both had their chance to kill each other
They left a lot of loose ends, specifically with the Fireflies. The menu screen that appears after you finish the game hints at just that, that Abby found and it's safe with the Fireflies. And I suspect that she will tell them that Ellie is immune and they come after her on part 3.

Interesting. I need to go back and try it, will do after finishing TLOU1 Remake

Ellie is one of the best characters ever created in gaming. Her story in TLOU2 was definitely the highlight to me

This might be a bit of a shocker but I did not rate the Last of us 1 as all that great, maybe an 8/10.

Saying that I thought the DLC was amazing.

Maybe the second best DLC i have ever played behind the old hunters Bloodborne

I think all the cast was ugly. I want some eye candy in the next one 🥳

I'll play the Director's Cut if they add a prequel chapter with a younger Joel and Tommy 🤩
Just admit it, you're looking for a full-figured woman.

I know what turns you on

I think calling Ellie the protagonist of TLOU 2 is a stretch, insomuch as it even has a protagonist.

edit - my bad, protagonist doesn't necessarily have a positive connotation, that said she absolutely shares protagonist duties I'd argue, maybe she has a bit more?

I was just thinking the same thing; Neil probably lurking reading the thread going "AHA!!" and before you know it a few years later.....

@Papacheeks Have your people call Neil's people and get the money.
You get it!

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make? Ellie is undeniably the main protagonist of the game but I guess you can say Abby is the secondary protagonist.

I would say the proper term in Antagonist.

Both stories are told in parallel and there is a lot of overlap between the path of Ellie and the path of Abby, makes them oppose each other when at the end of the day they are the same. They are opponents because they don't know each other's story, because if they knew maybe they wouldn't fight each other.

I can't believe its been two years since this game came out, all the unneeded hatred directed towards it over the leaks but I'm happy for the success its had and I hope to see what they decide to do next with the series!

I think it ended up being less successful than the first overall, unfortunately. This might be why they're doing a remake of part 1, even.

completely overrated game. This like a fisher price my-first-horror game. Ellie and the other characters look like arse as well. 😂

ugly, pretentious game that's rooted in this out-of-date 2010's walking dead aesthetic. The scruffy beards, gross clothes, survival aesthetic is sooooo last decade. add in that the developers are the most entitled, privileged, self-centered group of children and you have a firm 1/10 game imo. graphics, mechanics, and technical aspects take a back seat to the 'message' these toxic clowns want to force down gamer's throats.

tldr; outdated, ugly design, gross & toxic developers, toxic story, but still technically best-in-class. too bad money can't buy respect.

don't ever play this game. it's trash and so are naughty dog. as someone who grew up on REAL horror games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, TLOU 1 and 2 are child's play. 😂

The last of us 1 sold 7 million sold as of July 2014 before the PS4 remaster which is a year and 1 month after it's release. we don't know much beyond sales of the first game until around 2018 when naughty dog revealed the last of us sold 17 million on both PS3 and PS4. It's hard to compare the two since there is no PS5 port of The Last of us Part 2 san The last of us remastered got bundles with PS4 so that even makes it more of an uneven comparison.

That's very sad because Part 2 is superior in pretty much every aspect, especially gameplay wise. I was so in love with the game! I would love to see a sales comparison.

I am convinced that one reason for the game not being way more successful than the first one was that the Naughty Gods were willing to go against the male patriarchy, went with not one but two female leads and represented the LGBTQIA community 😻 a lot of people didn't like that! I saw so many angry people complaining online about it, it was really scary.

With all the incredible work and talent that went into this game, it should've sold way more than the first game. People need to open their hearts and their minds more, but we are getting there!

Well that’s one take.

Comparing naughty dog games to “Fischer-price” is a new one. And I don’t think it’s really a “horror” game in the vein of silent hill or RE. It’s a character driven action adventure game. And I’m pretty sure the visuals are second to none, especially given the limitations of the original platform.

You know I probably don’t agree with the politics of the creators in many areas, but they for sure have the right to espouse them. I’d even buy the game to support them, despite our differences. Them putting in their viewpoints doesn’t make them entitled or self centered. It makes them Americans. What’s actually self centered is being so small minded you can’t listen to different viewpoints without losing your :poop:.

You don’t have to like the game. I think naughty dog games are fairly average lately when it comes to gameplay. But that doesn’t mean my opinion is definitive. And I certainly don’t go screaming from the rooftops about it. Clearly there are people who love the game. That’s awesome. It means ND succeeded.

If you truly dislike something, just let it go and move on.

The biggest complaint I thought I saw was they turned Joel into a complete moron for no reason other than serving some shock value.

I could be wrong but I don’t think anyone has anything against Ellie as she was well liked in part 1 and we already knew about the way she swung in that game.

I think most people were just mad they did Joel dirty. Not everyone of course. But most.

Like I said, I could be wrong.
