I miss the days before Neil Druckmann when Naughty Dog uses to make great AAA games that really inspired industry instead of Remastering The Last Of Us, 6 million times.

It doesnt help that there has been a deafening silence from their Twitter and Naughty Dog even disabled replies.

The fans demand some kind of communication and all they do is continue to ignore the fans.

How many more times will they Remaster the Last of Us before they actually make a new game for once?

Enough is enough, Neil Druckmann needs to be fired for what he has done to this once great company.

The Last of Us II came out in 2020. From the information we have the remakes are used for newer staff prior to working on the multiple new games (actually new games). I'm delighted the studio isn't burdened with the live shite.

Ghost of Tsushima came out a month after the Last of Us Part II so are we looking for Sucker Punch's head?

Sucker Punch released Ghost of Tsushima legend's a multiplayer mode and they released the Iki island expansion.

Since last of Us 2, naughty dog has wasted 4 years on a multiplayer mode with nothing to show for it and they just remastered the last of us.

Not exactly worth comparing

But remastering tlou 6 million times means 6million copies sold which means more profit. Why innovate if people will just buy the new shiny thing solely because it’s shiny.

Exactly. We know ND has stumbled the beginning of this gen. But it’s not that deep. It’s just video games. ND will release their next game when it’s ready. In the meantime, these people need to do something else with their life. Lol

Only a bad employer would fire someone who hasnt made a bad game...

TLOU2 and Uncharted 4 were amazing.
Sony needs to fund them eveb better and give them more and more staff

These fans are whining impatient crybabies who must understand that, even if ignoring Legacy of Thieves Collection, TLOUP1, TLOUP2 Remaster, the pc ports and TLOU Online, new AAA games take 6-8+ years to be made and ND released their last one 3 years and half ago. Which btw broke the record of amount of GOTY awards won by a game.

And no, ND and Sony aren't Microsoft. They don't announce games 5-7 years before its release.

P.S.: Nowadays ND was working on at least 3 games until they cancelled TLOU Online, more than ever before. This is not counting remasters, remakes, pc ports and non-gaming stuff like movies or tv shows.

Since 2020 ND released The Legacy of Thieves remaster, later its PC port, TLOUP1 in PS5, later in PC, an Uncharted movie and a TLOU tv show, plus very soon TLOUP2 remaster (+ very likely its PC port).

On top of that they have been working on TLOU Online and at minimum 2 brand new single player games.

So yes, not exactly worth comparing because ND had a bigger output (thanks to mostly outsourced stuff) and more teams working on big new games.

Even if they didn’t do the remasters/remake odds are they still wouldn’t have a new game out or even announced yet, just like Suckerpunch, Media Molecule, Bluepoint, Team Asobi, Bend etc. that all released games the same year or before TLOUII

AAA games take 4 years minimum to make, and those games aren’t ND type games where people expect it to push all sorts of boundaries. Some of you are just going to have to learn how to cope with that

All they care about is appealing to the generic public now, casuals and non gamers who think gaming is all about emulating Hollywood movies. These people don't respect gaming as its own medium and want games to be as close to movies as possible.
I have nothing against narrative driven games, games that resemble movies and so on, but when it's ALL you make and you have the potential for so much more then it's a problem IMO.
But who needs them anyway, fortunately 3d platformers have made a comeback and I think and hope more indie devs will jump on the 3d platformer bandwagon and start making all kinds of impressive ones. We already have a great selection of games from the genre.

ND is a lot of people working together and I'm sure there are some that lean more to the movie making side but there are definitely passionate gamers there and they do have great gameplay.

I'm sure they are making something everyone here will love.

TLoU Part 2 was great and released in 2020. The clock is ticking but we have studios like Bend and Sucker Punch that released a game before ND and are yet to show their new games.

Not getting the MP game out sucks but it remains to be seen how much it's going to cost them.
