Everything related to visuals and audio in this game were top tier and continue being stunning today.
But yes, I also would like to see them at Sony instead, making AAA games and PSVR2 games. Let's hope in a few years FB decides to stop losing money with VR and sell some game studio like RAD.
RAD is the one who decided to sell the studio to FB, not Sony. RAD was an independent studio not owned by Sony, who also worked for other people like Capcom and specially Oculus before being acquired by Oculus/FB.

Yes, like in most 2nd party Sony games it's Sony who owns the IP. Meaning Sony can do a sequel without the dev. And devs, either the developers of the original games or other ones, only can use this IP for sequels, spinoffs or ports with the permission of Sony.

Graphics were definitely ahead of its time. I really enjoyed it. I think it was one of the only PS4 games I ever played (on PS4).

That this game didn't have success speaks for itself.
Detroit Become Human and inFamous Second Sons and Day's Gone all sold significantly better than this. Easily one of the worst selling Sony games on PS4.

Well, Facebook bought them
It does deserve a second chance. As a new IP it showed huge promise. The fact that "not enough gameplay" was the biggest complaint is an easy thing to fix. The story, universe and aesthetic were incredible. One of my favourite games on PS4 and definitely on my top 100 all time favourites.
This game with another year of development would've been a banger.
So many aspects of this game are great, it was just rushed out of the door by Sony.

Create a new studio and steal all the leaders that are still on RaD under Facebook. Start with a Directors Cut of the first game or by putting it on PS+ so more people get to play it.

No. Game was in development for more than 5 years. That isn't rushed. It was a short game. Also, games was very polished. So, not a single evidence of being rushed.
The average time to make a game that is the best looking game when released is more than 5 years now and these guys were coming from being PSP devs.
Huge fuck up by Sony moving on from RaD.
