Good point.Japan is also trending ahead I believe.
So Europe is the issue. It's also where games and hardware are most expensive.... maybe they need to have a targeted push in the region.

Cost of living crisis also exists here. Inflation has wreaked havoc and ppl aren't making nowhere near enough to keep up with cost of living.Agree and the cost of living crisis in Europe doesn’t help either.

So PlayStation does better on markets where PC wasn't traditionally strong?Japan is also trending ahead I believe.

There we have it folks, mystery solved, the impact of PC ports is a significant decline in sales in Europe and other PC centric markets.
I was a PC players that got into PlayStation because of PlayStation and console exclusives, this does not come as a surprise to me.In Germany many PC players started to buy PlayStation consoles for their exclusives, now they don't have to anymore.
The economy is what leads them to buy GPUs and Nintendo Switches ass well? Please, get real.Yet to be seen if PC port is really hurting console sales in europe
2 issues hurting sales in europe imo
1. Ps5 prices have actually gone up compared to launch(afaik that didn't happen in the USA or Japan, i think only the digital edition price went up in the USA)
2. Economy all over europe is screwed by huge infalation and interest rates
Under the recent circumstances, any company would want to be pushing positive news. They would do 'creative accounting' in order to push good news. Why?

People underplaying the impact of exclusives were wrong all along.

I don't believe the PS5 is selling 7% better than a console that was tracking above PS2 for a while.
Says you.The PS5 is 800K behind the PS4 in the same timeframe which includes the Pandemic, cost of living crisis and supply shortages.
PC ports haven’t affected it. Well not this gen it won’t.
The Switch is affordable for many still and GPU sales have dropped 40% last year.
Says you.
Why is the expectation for the PS5 so low? Why should've we have expected that PS5 would do considerably better than the PS4?
Why was Sony expecting to sell 25m PS5s but then they ended up selling less than 21m?
