Sony really fucking sucks at engaging their fans. The fans grew them from selling 3 million units a game to 20-30 million and then they just turn their backs

Xbox for all their faults showed upcoming games from 14 studios. Crazy quantities

That's basically like every single PS Studios developer showing up in one showcase

The only thing I can say is that Hunter and Xbots on Twitter will never understand what is to be a PlayStation fan.

They don't care about community anymore. It's all about extending olive branches to people who hate their brand these days. PS fans are just their Visa Black Card

They could have shown Astrobot, Lego Horizon, Physint, Death Stranding 2 and the gameplay reveal of Concord in the showcase last year and it would have been well received but they didn't. They announce games 3-4 months before release now and there's always backlash.

Why not both? Let PS5 owners know what is coming at least next year. Why should we stay in the dark until 3 - 6 months before?

Years ago PS got a lot of flak for announcing games too early. I guess a middle ground would be fine.

However, their showcase tend to happen on September.

I don't need games announced 3 years out but they can announce a game a year out. There is absolutely no reason we do not know what's coming next year outside of Death Stranding and Wolverine.. games announced 2 years ago, by the way lol.

That article sound like many threads in this forum, complaining about Sony having no games while there are different recent Sony games in the top selling/most played lists and having a lot of great PS5 games announced to be coming for the next year or so.

It should be important to them, in fact they attempt to quantify it. Every quarterly financial report they have a line item that says something along the lines of "goodwill" as an asset. That measures their brand strength and customer loyalty. God knows how they calculate that line item but they seem to be okay with burning that asset for short term profits.

This is the problem, people begging. Don't beg these fucking scumbags, either walk away, don't pay or kick up a stink on social media. You can hate on the Steam players all you want, but they forced Sony to react to the negative messaging.

if Sony had a decent showcase and actually showed some GAMES, this narrative wouldn't exist.

There's no defending Sony here. It's been almost 5 years since most of their studios have shown a game, it's getting ridiculous.

Sony did put on a showcase it was just called something else XboxTheWholeSlate Showcase
But Seriously we all know they are going to have one later this year so they can show what is coming next year and 2026 and also to pimp out the PS5Pro

Xbox games are coming to PS so it doesnt matter how good Xbox's show is.
Its like Capcom having a good show. Another 3rd party.

Shills or not though, people need to tell Sony's show are lackluster, they just are minimum

It never did, what bunch of BS. You are falling for Xbots false narratives.

This gen has been far worse Sony has kept us in the dark about games like Factions just to announce it and then canceled jt one year later without ever showing gameplay.

Nobody is complaining that they showed Wolverine and SM2 in advance.

They need to announce all that they are working on and give game a chance to capture an audience before they decide to cancel them. Sony has been stupid and is taking PlayStation fans for granted, it's insulting.

Sony also allows Xbox breathing room, since Sony inaction lets Xbox pretend they have more going on in comparison than they actually do. If Xbox ever finds itself in a competitive position again it will all be thanks to Sony not burying them when they had the chance.
