1) MLB license has nothing to do with MLB still being on PS4. The game was alway on PS consoles, so why are you bringing up the license?

2) I use MLB as an example because it's the ONLY other game a Sony first party studio makes that is available on rival consoles.

3) MLB sells in the US and still sells on PS4. Since you claim they want to actively cut out cross gen... I said let's see if they will also sideline the PS4 version of MLB next year.... Since that's your PITIFUL excuse to justify them not giving PS4 Lego Horizon lol

4) Stop bringing up their fiscal report as they stated in the last report PS4 is still a important part of their business, so your entire reasoning still is huge contradiction. A game being on Switch and skipping PS4 is dumb.

First party exclusives that's only for PS5 skipping PS4 makes sense....

Sony locking out PS4 players but releasing it on Switch makes no sense

If anything you make PS players on PS4 & PS5 cop the Switch version because it can be played on a handheld natively + it will be playable on Switch 2 that will be at the power of PS4

Also launching your games on PC & Nintendo 2 direct competitors don’t make PS fans or other people from other platforms invest in PS lol. Just like people don’t invest in Xbox because there games can be playable outside an Xbox

1. I stated they could port other (live-service) PS5 titles to PS4 with the same logic but they didn't simple as that. You brought up MLB which contradicted YOUR statement of live-service not able to be on PS4.

2. Jim Ryan considers PC as an competitor per his own remarks, they've been already porting to a competitor. Some claim Sony sees Xbox only as a competitor which I brought up the MLB license. NSW/Xbox ports came after MLB forced them after meeting Phil Spencer. Them not dropping Lego Horizon on Xbox reinforces that actually.

3. Stop saying it's my excuse. Do your due diligence and get a class in comprehensive reading. It's Sony's decision.

4. Stop claiming it's my reasoning, It's Sony's reasoning. They make the fiscale reports and decisions, not me.

I would’ve disagreed w the people saying PS wouldn’t go day n date on PC but now it looks like it’s a high chance.

For some reason PS thinks they can have a strong console base or be competitive while also trying to grab pennies on other direct competitor platform by releasing there games on them years later. lol your either have a closed platform ie Netflix, Nintendo, Apple, Steam or your this hybrid that don’t draw any playerbase & actually loose in the long run.

PS knowing Nintendo or Steam will never release there games on a PS platform now releasing there games on direct competitors. What’s next the next GOW releasing on PC day 1 or ratchet & clank releasing on Nintendo. If PS wanted to bring a new audience or make players more invested in there franchise they would do what Nintendo, Activision & Sega are doing & release more games from there franchises in different genre & styles. Also produce more 1st party overall. All of these ports just make 3rd party day why tf would we make FF or Persona PS exclusive & harm/limit our franchise when not even you keep your games exclusive hell you releasing your games from key franchise on rival direct console platforms. Wouldn’t be surprised if Marvel saw PS diminish there platform & release games on PC hell on PC & Nintendo day 1 & told PS Spider-Man 1,2 & SM3 has to be release on PC & Nintendo day 1 as Nintendo console gets more power 3rd party is wana get there games on Nintendo platform day 1.

They should delay Lego Horizon like GT7 & make a PS4 port.

When Lego horizon comes out & because there’s 50 million PS5 & 150+ million ccu on Steam & 150+ million Nintendo Switch the platforms with the most sells will be Nintendo & Steam like what happen to Helldivers 2 it’s not that Helldivers 2 didn’t sell on PS but because there’s 50 million PS5 & 3x-4x more people on Steam that made Helldivers 2 look like it was getting carried on PC. It will be another narrative how PS games are selling better on PC & Nintendo & how PS needs to release all there games on PC & Nintendo day 1 while ignoring there’s only 50 million PS5. Comeback to this comment in the future after npd shows Lego Horizon stats

Today it’s Lego Horizon that’s a “perfect fit”, tomorrow it’ll be every single Sony first party game. Sony should just hurry up and go 3rd party since that’s what all of their braindead developers seem to want. And Sony is even worse for forgetting their position in the market and how they actually make their money.

If there's a PS IP (modern) that makes sense as a LEGO game it's Horizon (considering they are pushing astrobot as their "exclusive" mascot). Decent characters, nice setting, dinosaur robots... Kids love this stuff.

They have some other IP that could work like R&C, but there's not nearly the same mindshare.

i don't think horizon has very much mindshare, which is probably why they went with this collab. doubt many people outside of hardcore console players know what it is. one of my coworkers bought a ps5 on my recommendation and it came packed in with horizon forbidden west and they still haven't played it after 2 years since all they want to play is madden lol

HZD + HFW have sold >30M copies, have their own LEGO collection... It has a lot more mindshare than R&C and other "cutesy" or "marketable" characters.

Oh yeah, absolutely, I'm not trying to compare it with any of those, but they have to start somewhere and I think both Astrobot and Horizon are the most marketable IPs for younger generations.

If Sony hadn't killed HFW sales by putting it on PS Plus the franchise would be closing in on 40M (if it hasn't) spread across 2 games. anybody thinking this is a "lump of coal" has to get themselves check in for psychiatric issues.

Also, only the latest 2 Zelda games sold more than HZD. Only a handful of Zelda games sold more than HFW did in a single year.
