    Haha, that would certainly be really cool to hear! Although, I think the timing might be a bit overly ambitious for a studio their size, given they have Chronos: The New Dawn targeted for a 2025 release. But hey, if Chronos is super successful and they can bring on more staff, who knows!

    Would you expect them to remake and consolidate multiple older titles into a single release, or remaking multiple games in franchise? My only thought would be, if they committed to remaking an entire franchise, that basically locks them in for projects for at least like 6~10 years of development.

    I can't entirely agree with this perspective. I think they do have the developers and resources to make a AA or AAA original game. Though, I would like them to also continue supporting with remakes.

    I haven't played any aside from the SH2 remake, but that peaked my interest to see what remakes of the others might be like! For people who feel passionately about the originals, this comment is not intended as an assertion that I have no intention of playing those someday.

    But, for Konami and Bloober, it doesn't really matter whether the physical copies are sold in store. Retailers pay the publisher when the games are delivered. I.E. They're selling to the retailers. One million units moved is one million units worth of revenue for the developers and publishers.

    It was pretty shortly after release, yes. The game launched on October 8th, and they thanked fans with the Internal Tracking timestamped against October 11th. It'll be nice to see how the sales tail on this game plays out! :)

    A bit tangential to your question, but famously King's Field 1 was never localized for western audiences. When Fromsoftware released King's Field 2 in Japan, they renamed it to King's Field 1. This is similar to the case for Final Fantasy, where II, III, and V were not localized at release, so...

    Most rational PC gamers don't expect Day 1 releases to destroy consoles. They just want to play the games on PC.
