The probability that I've liked a few mediocre games is pretty high, you probably have as well. I wish Starfield could realistically be judged to be mediocre, I'd like to live in a world where I could easily access games of this calibre.
Yes millions, it's simple probability. People participate in the act of gaming to have fun and already 6M+ people have tried out this great game. That really shouldn't be bothering you to the point of insulting random people on the internet. Have control over yourself
I didn't have major framerate issues and I liked the whole aesthetic of Skyrim at the time. You can try picking it up now since it runs well on most platforms. I find Bethesda's gameplay loop very intrinsically rewarding, you can sink hours on a single gaming session.
20 Hrs in, typical Bethesda experience, very hard to put down especially when you are following a questline. Mostly invested in boost pack and carrying capacity. The amount of menu hoping is annoying as hell though. Reminds me of Skyrim's spell system.
Apparently, they shipped 12 million on day one They didn't share sales numbers but if I remember well , VGCharts(If their estimates are anything to go by) had estimated they sold around 5M copies during the first week.
I like the lore in the game. Seems like humanity has progressed past "The Expanse" stage of space-faring and is well on its way to the "Dune" stage, with Space religions and cults.
The best thing to do is to actually read/watch the reviews. Metacritic/Opencritic scores are functionally useless for me as games are too varied to have common criteria to score them. It's easy to catch bullsh!t when reading or watching the reviews. If someone truly likes something, they tend to...
The overall realization that most video game stories kinda suck(straightforward or weak plots, poor characterization, bad character development, lack of suspense etc), and the writers are still trying to ape other forms of media instead of leaning into aspects that make video games unique.
Performance in video games is a huge battle in game development and the nature of Bethesda's games makes it very difficult to guarantee consistent high framerates. Their games have a huge scope and additional features that devs sacrifice to achieve to achieve performance. Starfield also comes...
The funny thing about this leak is that it's so reminiscent of old video game leaks on old youtube. It's just so random and you can tell the guy isn't used to making videos. He soldiered on playing while trying to record, there's the baby crying and him getting interrupted by his family. Also...
Skipped around on the clip. Looks good. 3rd Person animation has improved from their previous games. Didn't see loading screens. Does not look janky at all. All of this is in stark contrast to FO4 from the introductory sequence to that 1st fight in Commonwealth. Seems like it sets the space...
