this is the chart he's talking about
https://www.gematsu.com/2023/02/famitsu-sales-1-30-23-2-5-23
and as you can see no PlayStation in the top 10, and yes clearly I got you
The problem is that you can't say that the japanese market is healthy for PlayStation because clearly it's not
What the fuck are you doing my dude? the date is february 10th 2023 TWO THREE and you posted the chart from 2024
No it doesn't, if people are buying console just to resell them and then software is nowhere to be seen in the charts is clearly a problem.
Sony should have led by example by not doing any crossgen bullshit. But they didn't so why should third parties? And as usual we need Nintendo to bring back common sense and show how it's done...
Don't think Switch will sell more especially if Nintendo will say something about Switch 2 soon but PS5 sales should be higher than what they are. If Xbox is down why isn't PlayStation up? Well because since August 7th 2020 Sony keeps telling everyone that you don't need a PlayStation anymore...
Alright according to your logic Nintendo surrendered. And what is Sony publishing games on PC? That's fine right? We're at one year old ports, the day and date death sentence is looming.
Don't really know what you're trying to prove with this. Sony was smart back then and they thought what the fuck are we doing letting our developer publish games on other systems? They even tried to sell them at one point but then it was renamed in Studio Liverpool and the multiplatform nonsense...
Downplay it as much as you want. But the FACTS are that we have a new game from Kazutaka Kodaka of Danganronpa fame, a series originated on PSP, developed with the help of Media Vision a former PlayStation partner and Sony is even publishing it but they thought nah we don't need PlayStation, we...
And yet somehow Sony is the one publishing games on Nintendo consoles, not the opposite. Sony is even publishing The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy ONLY on Switch and PC. That's a yikes.
Well unfortunately for you the Steamdeck and Xbox Series S exist and they're helping lower the bar for third party games.
Thanks to Valve and Microsoft Nintendo is Great Again for third parties.
The Switch already did better than the PS2. The PS2 went from $299 to $99, the Switch is right behind it but it didn't have to drop the price one dime.
