All are valid reasons. It might also be that they didn’t expect Nixxes to be so god damn good and fast. They bought them a year ago and are already about to release two major ports with ray tracing, etc...
I also feel Spiderman games on PC are a bigger deal than Uncharted.
I bet.
They probably would be “cheap” to acquire though and could be a great studio to pair with Nixxes to work on PC ports. That would leave all the other studios free to focus exclusively on console.
Native optimized console games.
Quality PC ports down the line.
No extra work/crunch = Jason happy...
I’ll be swinging my RTX sword for the PC army if necessary but before that I’m gonna say that Jim Ryan is a beast and generally does a good job for the PlayStation brand while Phil “Cool Uncle” Spencer is good at PR but awful at managing Xbox Game Studios.
I also wish Gabe would stop running...
Iron Galaxy would actually make sense with Adam Boyes being the CEO. They’ve been porting games on PC for a while and are currently working on Uncharted 4 PC. I just wonder if the release has been delayed by Sony to make space for the two Spiderman games or if the studio is having some troubles...
The claim that PC is so much more complicated to use than consoles is definitely blown out of proportion. But it’s also a shortcut for us with extended experience to claim it’s as easy and trouble free as consoles.
For us it’s nothing but for someone with no prior knowledge, i can see why it’s...
I think @rofif genuinely likes PC gaming but grew tired of the extra little work it takes over consoles. Even I can admit consoles offers great value for 500$ and are a breeze the use.
He just like to rub it in a little too much but let’s not pretend that some PC users on forums aren’t doing...
Don’t generalize. PCMR overlords and consoles nut jobs are everywhere.
I have over 450 friends on Steam and my community timeline isn’t filled with posts about how “superior” the platform is. Just people talking and sharing about cool games. Lots of anime degenerates though. :sneaky:
Yeah Valve selling to MS will never happen. I don't even know where the idea of Valve being up for sale is coming from. Valve staying private has been one of their priority for a very long time.
Old article but relevant...
I just don’t know if Fortnite has Minecraft kind of legs.
Would be weird for them to own EGS and not drop their first party day one. Also, would they stop giving free games on EGS and lock that down behind a PC/PS monthly subscription? The EGS is already shit as it is, i can’t see a move like...
I don’t know man. 30 billion for Fortnite/Rocket League/Fall Guys and an unsustainable storefront seems like an awful deal to me.
That money could be better used elsewhere.
I can’t see Gabe selling. Not that he doesn’t like money, but the whole philosophy at Valve is creating an open source environment, being customer friendly (to an extend) and the website content is mainly users generated.
As cool as the PlayStation brand is, the way they manage their store has...
I wish Gabe would remove his flip flop, put a suit on and try to make the thing ship faster. I ordered mine in March (because I’m an idiot) and probably won’t be able to order it this year.
Im just wondering where you draw the line when choosing cards VS. the PS5. Did you include any 2000 series cards, 3000 series laptops,etc...
Because when I start from RTX 2070 ang go up, I’m at almost 17% and that’s without including any AMD cards. That’s over 23 million with 2070 or better...
Would be nice seing which cards you (conveniently?) removed from the equation to get to those numbers. Im sure there’s some food for debate here.
Not that I want to start some shit or anything... :sneaky:
