Some people just like to shit on PC, no matter what day of the week, no matter if it's here or other forums. Some people never change, and it's sad/pathetic. Every attempt to shit on PC, they are there. Even when it's not about PC, shit on PC. That just be a sad way to live.

I think no matter how well you explain yourself for why you don't game on PC all the time, there are some who will not accept it. Some people can't understand that others may have different preferences and priorities than them. This goes for many different scenarios in the gaming world too.

I think when you say "I have a PC and I prefer the console over it", you are trying to weigh your opinion as more valid since you have a PC. Likewise, someone can say the same thing about having a PS5 and a PC and preferring a PC over it.

In order to make arguments fair though, it would be better if we just judge hardware alone and not necessarily any one person's configuration. Your setup might be a pain in the ass whereas others might be smooth sailing.

I actually accused him of this already, owning something you don't particularly like in order to give more weight to your opinion.

you are certainly not wrong about this !
But I do think it helps for me to think my opinion through thanks to real life comparison, ownership and usage of all the ecosystems.
Also - ps5 is not perfect either. They are stumbling this gen a lot sadly. Less technically but more decision wise

For the most part I can agree with this. Consoles are great because they are easy to use. Yeah its getting to be a more pain now a days (have to choose between setting used to be a pc only thing) but still on the easier side.

I've bounced between the 2 for years, ease of use vs best experience. If I was more of a Sony single player guy (spider man is my fav Sony game) I would be all over the ps5 but only really play one of those games for 20hrs or so then done but I play Destiny 2 100 hours every season. So I'll go where the stuff I play the most plays the best.

With Sony coming on board, all the better. I'm playing destiny most of my free time anyways, if I gotta wait a year or 2 to play the newest Sony 1st party game thats fine. I'll play it in 32:9 ultrawide with all the bells and whistles and improvements already there.

I honestly think either your hardware or how you configured things must be pretty shoody. I've never heard someone complain as much as you about PC, as you. It's like nothing ever works with your specific build. But I get it, if I only had one PC and it was even half as problematic as yours, I'd definitely be a console gamer too, and throw the PC in the trash.

Thank God I've only had to do a basic restart, at the very worst. And I have an enthusiast build to say the least.

Yeah, but it's to the very extreme. He has to shit on PC every chance he gets, "bad pc", and slips in the "good ps5" comment, every time. I called it out on Gaf, and get the usual defensive post. But hey, I would probably do the same if as soon as he turns his PC on, blue screen of death. If he makes it past the bios screen, and repairs windows, and finally gets into Windows... It's a 90% chance to have his driver upgrades, crash his Windows installation, then it's back to square one.

We got not bad blood, but please let's not pretend it's 1992 again.

Honestly everything is perfect with my hardware. I don’t have any issues. Not a single one unlike many users.
It’s a Dream pc… but that’s not the point.
The fact that you suggest that pc experience can be motivated by either user fault or parts fault… think about what you are asking. It’s not 1995. It’s all locked down and fool proof. User fault is pc fail. It’s developers, Microsoft, nvidia fail.

Besides, I think you are overselling how badly I mouth the pc. I am barely critical.

Wait, so your PC is completely fine??! Wtf?? I'm completely confused from your posts on here and GAF, which completely downplay your PC.

Hey man, we have figured you out long time ago, but keep telling us about your 3080 and how bad PC gaming is ...compared to console gaming??? I'll leave this one alone here, as there's no point.

Yea, these console players always say they have high end rigs to lend credibility to their criticisms of PC gaming.

I think @rofif genuinely likes PC gaming but grew tired of the extra little work it takes over consoles. Even I can admit consoles offers great value for 500$ and are a breeze the use.

He just like to rub it in a little too much but let’s not pretend that some PC users on forums aren’t doing exactly the same.

I just don't get it. When I owned a ps5, I never went to shit on it, to praise my PC for being much better. That would be be dumb as fuck to stand behind one purchase, only to shit on your other purchase. I don't spend money on an inferior version of the same thing?

I get that, consoles are the best value to get into next gen gaming. I don't think any of us will ever deny that. Especially if it's your end game. But this extra work involved with having a PC... Can someone explain to me what this means? My windows updates automatically, my Nvidia drivers are just about the same, keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc all do the same. I never have to deal with 1/20th of what console warriors claim, or what 1 supposed PC player experiences day to day.

And at the same time, I'm not gonna shit on console players for what they prefer or like. It's only the posers and the warriors that get any pushback.

At the end of the day, we are here to enjoy games. Why not enjoy them in unison without having to shit on the next person.

The claim that PC is so much more complicated to use than consoles is definitely blown out of proportion. But it’s also a shortcut for us with extended experience to claim it’s as easy and trouble free as consoles.

For us it’s nothing but for someone with no prior knowledge, i can see why it’s less appealing even if that extra work is so little.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm experienced when it comes to hardware and software. But I also have an idiot friend, which I helped him build his PC on a discord video call. No knowledge of hardware at all. It all worked out for him, and have had no issues in the last year and a half.

AMD 3700x
Nvidia RTX 3080
32gb of 3200mhz Trident ram
1tb ssd for windows
2tb ssd for games
4tb for storage, older games, cars (porn), etc.

Not a single issue.

PC 's generally won't have issues, unless you did something wrong or a game needs an update. But if your computer keeps grieving you over and over, just sell it off, as it's not the hardware, but you.
