Yeah, definitely feels like it. We are getting new games but it feels like they're not really bothered with the headset enough to support it in a major way.

This proves my point, the anti PSVR2 FUD campaign has been going strong since before it even released. Only a month after it released, with 4 high quality AAA exclusives, did the media rush to label it as a failure. Meanwhile, Series X going without any launch titles or any exclusive for an entire year is perfectly fine.

Sad to see so many of you guys fall for the FUD, but not everyone is a freethinker like me.

They couldn't even bother negotiating a Half-Life Alyx port for PSVR2...
I haven't seen anything close to credible saying Sony tried to get Alyx and Valve refused.
HL Alyx would be nice to have, but acting like it's a big deal is disingenuous. PSVR1 outsold the Valve Index by a lot, HL Alyx was never a system seller. Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil 4 Remake are way bigger games than Alyx.

Of course it's trashy, the entire discourse around PSVR2 has been trashy since before it even came out. Even that hypocritical prick Greg Miller was hating on the PSVR2 since day 1, and trying to kill it, while crying about the PS Vita dying. Microsoft isn't letting up, it's gotten so bad that even some PS fans have fallen for it. 10 exclusives in year 1, 6 GOTY contenders, the best racing VR experience, the best versions of multiplats, and people still run with "there's no support 🤓". It's really sad and despicable to see how far Microsoft's reach goes.

It's a real shame that they didn't support it. They had something great with the hardware and I hope it sees a second wind when the PS5pro releases.

Half-Lift Alyx is awesome and the best PCVR game so far.

Ive been waiting monthly for them to announce an Astrobot port or a new one! Fucking Sony sometimes is dumb.

AAA doesn't really apply to VR, VR as a whole is not big enough to warrant huge budgets. But the exclusives we've gotten thus far are 100x better than what you can find on Quest and Steam

It's missing significant games. Not just Alyx, but Boneworks/Labs, Hitman's excellent VR mode, and a popular one on steam: Phasmophobia. Supposedly it's coming, but no word yet.

Update, doesn't look like my personal favorite Superhot was ported to PSVR2 either.

Exactly...and it's not a failure at all, but these bums have been working overtime to convince everyone that it's a failure, when we've only got 2 sales updates since it came out last year. Both positive.

I don't see VR ever being a major success unless we get it down to $99 and you can use it anywhere. Even if it has top tier games people just won't invest in VR technology.

It has a long way to go, maybe a decade before it goes mainstream.

The writing has been on the wall. A total disappointment and a sales failure. It's costing Sony just to sell the thing. Offload the unsold stock to PC and then let it fester off and die in 2 years fully.

Will probably be discontinued next year.

It isn't failing, Sony is happy with its performance and at least during its launch window was selling better than PSVR1 launch aligned (Sony's goal).

Regarding catalog, it has more and better games than PSVR or any other headset during its first year.

VR is a nascent market, so Sony and nobody else expected it to sell 200M copies. PSVR1 sold "over 5M", so PSVR2 may sell "over 7M", "over 10M" or something like that to be successful. Whatever above PSVR1 sold.

Phasmaphobia was supposed to be released last year for PS5+PSVR2 but got delayed.

Hitman and Superhot were released for PSVR1. I don't know if there are plans to port them to PSVR2, may come later as other ones did.

I don't know if they plan to port Boneworks/BoneLabs.

I think PSVR 2 will be fine, but it needs a bit more effort.

Im told CEO’s and Managers know what they are doing much better than any gamer could dream of doing…. But nah, I dont think so

PS is underprepared this generation. I love VR and Ill be buying one soon but they did not plan there 1st party, 3rd party and PS studios enough for VR. Or could be doing alot better.
Im still buying one but they should of thought all of this out more.

HL Alyx was a must. And they didnt get it.
Astrobot 2 Should of been out within the first 6 months too. They should of got the Assassins Creed game just for hype sakes. Kingdom Come too.

Stuff like Ace Combat, Kings Field, Shin Megami 1-2 remakes, Shining in the Holy Ark, Thief for VR are such obvious games to make with your 3rd party.
KillZone, PS Home 2, Singstars etc etc
