Horizon Online will come first. This kind of game will take a full studio to support (as Naughty Dog basically explained when informing us about the cancellation of TLOU Online).

If you think H3 will come out if this game releases... You're for sure more hopeful than i.

I'm in the middle, I don't really think folks at SIE really grasp the whole GaaS thing and undershoots how much they really need in term of staff to keep a game going.
But at the same time I do believe that the Monster Hunter MP game that Guerilla is making is probably a much easier thing to support long term provided the tools they're using are efficient and not a bottleneck in development.

TLoU Online folks were making some crazy game with possibly multiple modes but also some PvE/Narrative attached to it.
Project had too large of a scope, which is the usual for Naughty Dog but this time it was real costly.

i would never refer to naughty dog as "a single player games studio", after Last of Us Factions. I've been anticipating more Last of Us online since I rolled credits on Pt2. The cancellation of Last of Us Online hurts bro. I still don't want to believe it.

They are both single player and multiplayer, but their main focus is their single player campaign.

So... They are single player games with a multiplayer component. Gotcha.

Guerrilla grew some years ago to be able to develop multiple games at the same time. They oficially said to be working at the same time in Horizon 3 and Horizon Online.

Really feel like the people working on it never had the proper vision for it. First it moved from Lucid and Jason Schreier said that even after 2~ years at Firesprite, the game still wasn't out of pre-production.

At some point, you've just got to realize things aren't working out.

I'm pretty sure your brain lacks oxygen. Every single game of theirs ever released was single player, with some of them having multiplayer modes. Horizon Online is an online only game.

But good try, now go back to port begging.

Edit: To make it clear - All of their games were single player games with an optional online component. This makes them single player games, not multiplayer games, or online games. Uncharted 4 was not a multiplayer game. The Last of Us was not a multiplayer game.

TBH Id rather see a new IP or Kilzone instead of Horizon 3 atm. But Im looking forward to Horizon 3 too.
I doubt they stop making Horizon 3 if this finds success. If this is successful it will just help the studio and PS with more funds.

I'd honestly rather they finish the story and be done with it, then move to other things. Waiting probably a decade to get the 3rd / final part just sounds like a ballache

Hell they should keep it for TLOU3 and onwards. Even if its PVP only.
But That universe deserves more and more stories too. People are loving Helldivers, imagine TLOU PVE and PVP

The big thing I wanted was the ability to lure infected at human players. PS3 wasn't up to the task of having infected and humans in the same place.

Something like Helldivers but with Horizon robots could be fantastic and super successful. The formula is so obvious.

It sounds easy in our heads but everything in the gaming industry is getting delayed, cancelled or a mess
