Apparently Baldur's Gate 3 has sold 5.2 million copies or close to 6 million on Steam according to the Belgian Embassy in China

True, either way I want Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield to CURB STOMP that game so we can show what real RPGs actually are.

People will buy Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield based on what they are, they are buying Cyberpunk based on claims of what the company claimed it was...

A chunk of features promised in Cyberpunk exist more in Starfield, then they do in Cyberpunk lol Like the whole bullshit about "sTreeT kiDz" or "cOrpRoz" lol That shit literally amounted to a different cut scene in the opening and where you started annnnnnnnd thats about it. So Starfield seems to have a more solid grounded thing with actually having REAL factions you join, not merely mentioning it as some PR thing to sucker people into buying the game.

If Bethesda tells us you can be this or that, we understand what they mean.

If CDPR tells us you can be this or that, a whole load of horseshit is involved where 99% of what they are saying is either exaggerated, or they are purposely misleading consumers about the significances of the feature.

You have a trailer telling you about customizable parts in cars in Cyberpunk, nothing like that exist in the game.

You have a trailer telling you about customizable parts in Starfield, we know this to be true as Bethesda is a trusted developer. So as much as I wanted to like Cyberpunk, they are trying to fucking have you buy a game today, they might, maybe try to create tomorrow and they'll need another $30 so you can cover their fuck up.

This year releasing with so many complete, solid RPGs, the irony of putting out $30 DLC, while everyone else is getting it right the first fucking time as a complete working thing goes to show how much bullshit that company was on.
I was once trying to explain just how much CDPR lied in the marketing pre release on Reddit (my bad I know) and there were morons claiming it was not false marketing because on each official trailer/video there was a label that said it was "in development" therefore those promises were subject to change. Nowadays it is hailed as an amazing game, which it definitely is not. We will see what the updates bring.

To pay $70 once is less than to rent it for around $200 per year. But GP includes way more games.

Casual demographic will burn thru story and bounce in a month or two. If your intention is only to play Starfield, especially since Xbox has zero after it for like a year or two … still much cheaper. Consumers will choose the cheaper option. Whether anyone stays subbed to gamepass is a different story. I doubt they will.

Starfield will undoubtedly hemorrhage a shit ton of money until they start selling expansions and dlc.

Unit sales discussion will not give an accurate picture. And Bethesda games are in this area where it keeps players for years like an online mp game. Skyrim and Fallout 4 still chart on XBL outperforming new releases like Jedi Survivor (gone) or Exoprimal (gone). Only asscreed games or Elden Ring perform simarly.

Looking at gameplay videos, I wonder how this game will translate to PS5.
I don't feel like going back to PC specially thatI need major upgrades, but this game is tempting.

The game controls just fine on a controller. The interface is adapted as well as one could expect. It might be a bit more cumbersome when you have tons of inventory and need to manage it.. but it shouldn't be that bad at all. There's no need to upgrade your PC just for this game. Enjoy it on PS5 in a couple weeks.

I'm kind curious to see how fast PS5 will load save games compared to PC. On PC even with unlocked framerate and Gen4 SSD, it still takes a while to load. It isn't a bandwidth issue, but rather I believe it's bottleneck with the game logic, entities, AI, ect)... so it will be interesting to see if it's faster on PS5.

PlayStation launch is gonna be interesting to see and how the gametype performs with console gamers.

The PSN “top 10 in your country” chart has featured it for weeks now. The hype and pre-sale seems to be substantial already.

It's been said many times already but the interface changes when you play with a controller. It doesn't play any different than other turn-based games like Fire Emblem or whatever. I even played it with a DualSense on PC and you see the controller in the in-game menu.

The game have a different UI when you play with controller.
It is already build with that in mind.
Play perfectly well… some even thinks it is better with controller.

There is no translate the game was build from the ground to play with a controller.

More of a 'PC-type' game but will sell a bucket load on PS5 too, and great timing coming out six weeks before Spiderman 2.

Agreed.

The terms and things they were saying in those trailers were done to purpose allude to features that didn't exist in the game, that do exist in other games, that any person can believe would be taken as a literal. I also understand that in a situation like this It's possible for someone to take something that is being marketed out of contexts but describing a video game with the vehicles and talking about customizable parts does not sound like a world building or lore or simply a comment about a narrative in the game.....

You can even see videos a week before the game's release of a bunch of YouTubers talking about the feature of customizing cars and everybody is under the belief that it's a feature in the game because why would they then believe the term customizable parts doesn't mean the car can be customized in the game? In fact I don't even think I could find a single YouTuber that covered the game that talked about that topic that argued against it existing, But like everybody else they're taking the trailer at its word because they understand it's an open world video game with vehicles. So if any other game company came out and told us the game has customizable parts none of us are looking at that like it is just telling us randomly about the world about something we can't do , we simply hear it as a feature of something you can physically do in the game or else why fucking tell us such a feature?

It is extremely obvious they were trying to mislead users about features inside of that game toward degree I don't think I've ever seen in my entire life on really any entertainment property. To the point of like a laundry list of features.

When you look at everything been coming out this year with baldur's gate 3 in Starfield and Diablo 4 and final fantasy 16 it's clear everybody else understood how to make a complete game , do you know how weird it sounds if any one of those companies is telling you 3 years later to pay $30 for the rest of some of the features promised?

So at this point I don't care about the updates because the team that wasn't capable of pulling it off the first time I don't even think if given more time is magically going to complete everything in that game I simply believe the publisher does not wish to properly fund the game for it to even exist the way they're describing it.

At this point far cry 7 in the future sounds more realistic to have all of those features than CD project red

If the sequel of cyberpunk has all of these features what on Earth does not say about the original game? The sequel is really what the first game is supposed to be? Then what are we even left with regarding the first game? Its literally an admittance that what they sold you prior, wasn't what was promised.

Consumers should be more interested in purchasing finished completed ideas and not open random early access promises that can be "completed" 3 games into the series.

From what I understand all of the features will be included for free in the base game, you will have to pay for new content in the DLC, but features like car shoting, Improved Ai, Police will be free for everyone that already owns the game.
BTW. I decided to give it another shot recently and a main quest is bugged (waiting for a phone call that never comes). I tried all fixes mentioned online to no avail. The only option I have left is to load a svae before the quest. the thing is the last save before the quest is 10 hours ago, since I decided to go side questing. Even 2 side quests were bugged. Fuck that.

Damn that sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. Having a save get suck based on some broken quest is the worst thing that can happen in a RPG right next to corrupt save. (Had a corrupt save in Witcher 3 lol) I think I know what quest you are talking about in CP2077 and that happened to me, I kept thinking I was doing something wrong, I was like "do I call them" lol I was giving them waaaaay too much credit lol Glanced online and saw it was a glitch and was like "of course it is lol" I was literally waiting to store things in the car like "maybe that is ome level up" (reads online, ohhh it doesn't exist) then I was hype to get to the desert area as maybe that is where you customize cars....(reads online that also doesn't exist) Ohhh I see I see.....how much of this fucking game is actually what they showed in the trailers? lol

I'm happy to hear the base game will get some of those features, but its just too late for me. I have no ode to give them another 60 hours, when Starfield is coming out, Baldur's Gate 3, Persona 5 Tactica, Spiderman 2 etc. I don't even know if I'll have time to play it next year, they could have avoided this whole thing by merely properly funding the game. I can't even say WHEN it came out is the issue or coming out on last gen, we have games on last gen that released with all those features, like working train station, enemies driving cars, hacking stuff and never had issues with any of that.

Ubisoft dead ass released 3 games that gen that did all that shit and didn't break a sweat, theses guys are struggling to match even the oldest ideas in gaming ala PS2 era stuff with Ai, to the point where it makes Watchdogs sound otherworldly with how advanced it is, like being able to stop the train or hack the cop cars or do those crazy city blackouts. Playing thru Cyberpunk made me realize my exaggeration over Watchdogs 1 was a bit much and they did a much better job and attempted to do much more grand different things then Cyberpunk actually did.

Right now, Cyberpunk is chasing being Watchdogs 1 from 2013 and GTA III from 2001......that is what we are sadly waiting for, for them to catch up to everyone else in regards to design, so I can wait till they know how to have a trainstation, I can wait till you can actually really join factions, or I can play Starfield and do all that shit for the next 200 plus hours, by the time I'm done, I don't know if I would even care if CDPR managed to understand how quest works or enemies driving cars.

None of us would be questioning if Rockstar, Ubisoft or any other team that does open world games would have those features, it would be default and understood. The issues CDPR is having simply isn't enough for me to return to that IP anytime soon, when everyone else seems to understand how to design those ideas.

Why should I forget 70 hours of the first playthrough, to then play what should have been the game day 1, years later?
