It’s silly, the game works perfectly fine with a controller, as do DoS1, 2 and both PoE games.
This is like saying assassins creed is a console game because it works much better with a controller than m&kb. It makes no sense. It’s a game.

I can agree with you when you have a game designed for mouse/keyboard being played with controller (it is a pain).
But these days long gone… nowdays most if not all games support both since start and even with different UI.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 the controller UI is so good that you won’t miss any mouse/keyboard… the opposite I’m reading a lot of PC players saying it player better with controller.

Sure there are. FTL, Starcraft, Factorio, countless RTS and 4X games, tons of indie deck builders and roguelikes. Also most MMOs and MOBAs are PC games.
Seems playing with a controller may actually elevate the game further…..

There's a performance mode but it's unstable, especially the last 1/3 of the game in the big city is prone to lower frame rates
Yeah I've played BG3 on PC. I would get drops from 100fps to 30 in Act 3, but only in specific areas (mainly the first exterior city location). Very annoying but glad 60fps exists since should be fine for bulk of the game.

It reaches 60fps in performance mode too.
And I will ask the benefice of doubts here because this new site analysis is weird and nobody is reporting performance issues yet.
