PS has a flag to disable Cross-play.
It should be an optin (Cross-play disabled by default and so these that want to play with their "friends" optin) to be fair but that is a lose case already.

I said time ago after the beta that Modern Warfare 2 was not looking good and I made a prediction that it won't boost sales from the pathetic version released last year.

Looks like the franchise will have another decline in sales this year.

It needs to crash and burn. I'm sorry but CoD is the most overrated multiplatform game ever made. There comes a point where you just should scrap the franchise and start with a new one. I don't even buy them anymore because it's literally like a yearly sports game that comes out. Same weapons, same assets, different storyline. People are literally buying the game multiple times just by trying to keep up with the latest outing.

Yep, as we've been saying in some other chats... I'd love to see Sony or another big publisher take something like Escape from Tarkov or Vostok and give them support and a team to polish the game and develop it to a AAA level or even just AA+

Then they could have their own team at Deviation or Bungie making alternative shooters......

I appreciate how EA has been trying in the space though.... with Apex and Titanfall.

Got it for ps5. Mp is typical COD mp and feels good, hvnt tried co-op or campaign yet.

Boot up the ps5, go into the game, spent about 3 mins trying to find single player, finally find it annnnnnd now i need to dl the campaign?
I must be getting old or some muppet said “imma make this shit as frustrating as possible to get into story mode”

Yeah the MP, Co-Op, SP are all separate downloads. They do it that way to save space if you don't want the whole game on your console.

Edit: It should give the option of what to install but it just installs the base files needed but it didnt for me so had to download everything else when it was installed.

Little tip BTW, if your looking to play specific mp modes like dominiation do not go to the multiplayer tab go to quick play then press filter and filter the modes you want to play or else you won't see it in mp portion. It's dumb and not intuitive at all, sometimes I wonder where thy get these design retards.

First CoD I've bought since Modern Warfare 2 in 2009.

Needed something to fill time between single-player games I'm playing. Grounded War mode looks decent. The Prisoner Rescue mode was pretty mediocre, with rounds over so quickly.

It would be just typical if MS buys the franchise just as it's slowly dying

1998 Q3 Engine at its heart.
They must use something different for the campaign as that looks incredible.
