Your math is bad as well?
Marketing? It's the specs lmao

RDNA 3 AND 4
Math is right...
You are falling to the marketing.

yeah, it is 16,7TF. the same was with PS4 PRO and 8,4TF when it was 4,2TF in reality.

Different architecture means the TF value is meaningless. The power gap is bigger than the numbers show.

Difference here being 10.2TF RDNA 2 vs 33TF or 16.5TF RDNA 3/4.

1.8TF PS4 APU vs 4.2TF PS4 Pro APU is a bigger difference than many think since the PS4 Pro was using Polaris Gen 4 vs Gen 2 for the Base PS4.

33.5 in Dual Issue
Exactly.

And Dual Issue is practically something that you can't use.
You need all the SPs in a cluster receiving the same instruction to dual issue work.

They already tried that in the past and give up... I don't know why they are trying again.
And that is why RDNA3 launch was lackluster.

i am talking about PR, not that it is a difference between architectures :)

Just to people understand the Dual Issue.

It means you can issue TWO instuctions at the same time to a SP when you meet some rules (sending the same instruction to all SPs in a cluster).
That doesn't mean it will execute both instructions at same time.
It will still execute one instruction after the other.

The gain lies in saving the overhead to make two separably calls.
The gain is minimal to be fair.

And due that AMD used the marketing bullshit to say they GPU are now can do double the TFs they actually do.
And they don't.

A 30TFs RDNA3 will perform similar to 15TFs RDNA/RDNA2.

If those 33 TF were 3x over PS5 it would be more powerful in practical terms over a 4090 which due to thermals alone it would be impossible, let alone costs.

Sadly diminishing returns have been a thing for a long time. The PS5 pro will have high resolution gaming at 60 FPS to be more of a thing specially in those performance modes that used to hit 720p in some games.
