Since today is the 20 Year Anniversary of Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes would Sony buying the Metal Gear IP let them rerelease Twin Snakes? Or will it most likely be blocked from Nintendo?

Twin Snakes was too cheesey anyway. Just make another remake at this point

As a big Gamecube fan, I agree... I did enjoy the game but it lost a lot of what made it special in translation.

It became more like a Michael Bay film.

Same I love the gamecube, and the gameplay was good but it lost its coolness and atmosphere.

Timing for this is long gone, these IPs are all dead, Sony is just as unsuited to developing games for them as Konami is if not more so at this point. Sony is closing down all their studios that aren't already tied to established IPs, canceling every game they think has a chance to fail, with no signs that this will stop any time soon.

Sony has been asleep at the wheel since the middle of last gen and now we are starting to see the results. Feels like MS moves (Gamepass and shortly after all the acquisitions), despite how ineffective they turned out to be really scared Sony shitless and they lost faith in their Playstation business.

PS4 was a huge success but that was not reflected in terms of them doubling down on PlayStation to strengthen the platform.
