Point is, you are overreacting for something that has not happened. The PC ports are just that. Ports. They do not interfere with the development of the console version of the game.

Also if it were to happen: MS day and date releases from their most capable teams like Coalition and Playground/Turn 10 still manage to run stellar on PC whole getting the most out of even the base Xbox one. (FH3/Gears 5) so it'd not something impossible.

That being said, development in tandem of PC/PS5 first party games should end up happening with MP oriented games.

And if Sony is planning to focus on being successful on the GAAS front having their own Fortnite/apex/CSGO, they will have to plan around lower specs and high framerates. Destiny 2 looked great and could run on absolute toasters of PCs even Intel integrated graphics from 2017.
You're talking GaaS titles, that's a whole other ballpark.

According to Hermen maybe some MP GaaS potentially may end being released day one on PC. He didn't say that all of them will be day one, he said that we may see it in the GaaS area.

But also said, like Jimbo, that their priority is PS and make the games for it. He, like Jimbo in the past said that their idea was to focus their devs PS, and later have other teams who may port some of these games (not all) time later to PC.

They were going to test different time frames between the original PS release and the PC release for the ported games, being the most common distance multiple years. For the non GaaS title, he Hermen said that they were going to test the closest around a year of distance. But when looking at it, in cases of the Uncharted collection or TLOU its a distance from their remasters/remakes. The distance between the original PS release and PC release in case of TLOU is 10 years and in Uncharted 4 six years and a half.

The other ports of non-GaaS are released on PC around 2 or more years after release, and PS Studios still didn't release in PC any of their GaaS games. The ones that we know will be day one in PC (and in Xbox) are the Bungie ones since unlike PS Studios they will continue supporting all platforms with their games.

A more interesting question...

Do we think PS is working on a way to have PC players create a PSN account to play their GaaS titles, and if so, what game would they first implement that with?

In at least in the Steam PC port of Spider-Man you can link your PSN and Steam accounts, so you can import the rewards you had on PS to the port.

We also know that Sony is working on their PC PSN store/client due to open job positions but have no idea when they will release it.

We also know that Sony will release more GaaS on PS this fiscal year, but we have no idea when they will start porting them to PC. I assume once GT7 becomes 2 or 3 years old, or whenever they -MLB and Sony- decide to start releasing MLB games on PC (I think MLB would release day one in PC as do in rival consoles).

They shouldn’t be wasting time with any of that anyway.

I really despise the possibility of Sony putting all that resources into PC. Porting their valuable games is bad enough. All that for a small gain in revenue.

Some writers are clearly upset about the port time frame being so long, lol. I'm guessing they think Sony should have talked to more PC guys who have no interest in Playstation and just wants all of the ports day 1 so they can ignore Playstation otherwise.

A load of PC gamers want ports day and date so they can pirate the game, it's the unfortunate truth. Even if I agree with the proven premise that piracy does not cause sales losses (it doesn't, those that want to buy will buy regardless), there's a load of people that simply want things for free.

Sounds as one of these PC users who cries because spents thousands of dollars on their PC and some game runs pretty worse than in PS5.

Yes, the first one back in 2015 was released in PC a few months after its console version.

I forgot that the Firewalk was also announced as a PS5+PC project while ago.

Now let's see if both release on PC day one or not (I think it's likely for at least Helldivers 2).

Should have anmounced a couple of PC ports to soup up the showcase. Specially Bloodborne PC/PS5. It was rather weak.

It already had too many PC day one ports. They need to cut off the beggar race at the knees in the future. They're already so used to the kneeling position, it won't be much of a change.

Today's showing made it clear that Sony's problems are not due to the "beggar race" not even Sony fans liked many of the first party games showed there.

The beggar race did not force Sony into releasing that wish.com streaming device or those headbuds. It didn't force them to release a 600 USD headset with no content to back it up.

In fact it further proves that they need the beggar race if they intend to fund more AAA single player games. Because they don't believe they can have s GAAS hit relying on their console audience alone, even if they are the market leaders.

Sony never said that. In addition to this, Little Big Planet, PS Home, Gran Turismo 7 or MLB are GaaS hits that only relied on their console.
