I'd imagine we will just get the new series s and the new series x, and leave the naming as is.

I think they will just drop the Series S, bump the Series X down a peg in the lineup and bring out the Series X Ultra for Workgroups or something.

The most annoying fanboy behaviour is a three-way tie between the ones who have to mention GamePass in every game announcement thread, the ones who have to bring up their SteamDeck in every announcement thread, and the PC port beggars in every single PS5 announcement thread.

Sony had launch games for PS5 and those were discredited as PS3 ports and side content (MM). MS were universally praised for BC lol.

As they should have been, for the BC aspect. Wish Sony would do the same, as they already got reoccurring/new AAA blockbusters on tap, and hardware on lock.

Sony should just provide better BC support, and a portable PS(4). Slap everyone's also-run/inefficient attempts down with minimal effort. They have the game library, and does bespoke device creation throughout PS and wider Sony.

We are almost 2 years in this new gen and the Series consoles have shown nothing worthwhile over the PS5 so far. Xbox fans expected something completely different from the start (XSX would destroy PS5 from launch).

PS5: "lower" specced, but overall more balanced console that performs the same or even better then the XSX.

The thing people don’t take into account in these comparisons is that Windows, even the stripped-down version that XBox consoles run on, is hideously bloated and inefficient, which leads to huge processing overhead on the order of 30% of runtime being consumed by the system doing the computing equivalent of sticking its hands in its pockets to see if it’s dick is still there. If the Series X has a 30% advantage in FLOPs, it’s pissed away by the operating system.
