Loved it myself, can't wait for the rest of the content.
The best thing about this that it's a Sony exclusive
Never played a final fantasy game before the remake, after the initial hour or so I considered actually uninstalling it, i was like, this is rather cringe and the combat system is weird.
But... I stuck with it and oh boy I was happy i did. This turned out to be one of the best games i have ever played, i loved it, a 10/10 for me. I am really looking forward to the sequel.
I wish, for the love of gaming gods, to be able to get into these FF games, and I tried... never succeeded though <insert @Sircaw sad face emote here>
I played FF XIV... for the chicks in it. That's no life, I am telling you
As someone who grew up playing FF7 with his mate on its release year, over the summer holiday, I absolutely loved remake. They change things up just enough to keep it fresh, whilst triggering that sweet nostalgia, and the ending! Well I won't spoil it for those who haven't played it yet, but what are you waiting for? Play it!. Can't wait for Rebirth to drop.
It's effectively part 2 of a 3 part story. So sequel?
Rebirth is second episode of FFVII sequel.
The first episode is Remake/Intergrade.
The 3rd one is still to be announced.
Maybe people fail to understand Remake means another thing and a not a remake of original FFVII.
FFVII new trilogy is a direct and true sequel to the OG game.
But maybe I'm giving too much spoiler already.

... yeap you can call that but it is actually a sequel and not the same story of the original.Only open if you played it.
FFVII new trilogy is a sequel of original FFVII where Sephiroth tries to "remade" the events of OG FFVII... that is why the tittle is called "Remake" and/or "Intergrade", not because it is a remake of the original... the new episode is "Rebirth" that is probably will be related to somebody rebirthing?
In simple terms it is Sephiroth that merged to lifestream at the end of OG FFVII trying to go back to the past and change his fate.
You can think like Back to the Future

i understand that technically it is part 2 out of 3. but it is going to be part before events of FF7R or After?

Yeah watching Maximilian Dood, He thinks it will be at the start of the game which i can get on board with.
I'm glad Sony's keeping this trilogy exclusive, ever since Nintendo f'd it up Playstation is the true home of Final Fantasy and it should stay like that.
You know when the first one released I was pretty disappointed in how the story was obviously changed. I really just wanted FF7 redone with modern tech. That's still all they needed to do.
But getting over it all, I'll just take it as it is. I'll check out the second one if it seems good. They ARE doing a fantastic job with the production values side of things IMO.
