I don't know what you mean by 'same story'. I literally just showed you an example of the disparity between how many copies of a new game tends to sell digitally on Xbox and PS versus physically in response to this 80 : 20 physical-only split, which is kinda meaningless.

Most Playstation sales are digital too. What makes you think Xbox will fare better?

Yeah, I don't doubt that. Xbox just tends to sell more digitally, up to 85% more compared to the same game on the same platform digitally.

While I actually like to find relevant results. GI.Biz don't state the divide for every big game but this is the most recent one from last year for Lego SW, which was a huge seller.

In terms of digital, Xbox was the dominant platform accounting for 41% of sales, PlayStation accounted for 34%, PC 18% and Switch 7%.

Including physical combined its probably a few percent higher, but we know Xbox in UK tends to sell more digitally. It's a known and proven fact. A disney fact.


Also, this game isn't even on GP so that's a completely unrelated tangent that has nothing to do with anything here, though I'm not surprised you felt the need to tag that in somewhere

I'll never understand why people care so much about sales. None of you are getting richer if X games sold on platform Y. It doesn't effect anyone but the companies. You are not going to keep that money lol.

If it's for educational purposes and sales data for a youtube scripts I could understand. Or an actual analytical article then ok sure. But other than that, it doesn't matter lol.

It's very plain and simple - JRPGs and Capcom titles will always sell better on a Japanese console. That's just a fact. They have a lot of history.

Xbox is weird now, they are doing their own thing and selling subscriptions more than the actual games. So it's not surprising of you'll see lower sales on such a platform that's more interested in selling you a sub service.

I have a lot of confidence in yoshi-P and his team and am personally very excited for the game. Not really concerned with your opinion/petty jabs.

Also, different director, team and engine than forspoken, but I'm sure it was an honest mistake for you to omit that.

If I like a game, I want it to sell a lot to maximize the potential for a sequel. For someone in the industry you seem to fail to understand a lot of simple concepts like VRR, how sales impact strategy...

Because for some this is like sports. Team X winning against team Y. Just like sports, you’re not making money out of it, but you’re having fun seeing your team winning.
