Parris is just an almost eternally positive person, at least outwardly, so yeah describing him as a "hype man" is pretty on the money.
He's only positive when it comes to Xbox , constantly spreads anti PS fud. He'll say some corny "neutral" kumbayah bs here and there but it's obvious Microsoft is paying him a lot.
