They are still in the middle of restructuring themselves after Bonnie left (let go) one or the other.
Joe would have been looking over the single player/narrative for the future of Infinite.... (Campaign dlc).
There is no way this game is being supported for 10 years....
It was always temporary. Like rod fergeson coming in to save Bioshock infinite.
Now he will either replace or work alongside Matt booty.

No, they just brought him for a very specific thing and now that it's done, he's going back.
About 60 people, mostly from the campaign team.
Real talk.. seems like there's just a husk there now.. I mean, I don't ever want to see mass amounts of people losing their jobs like this... but a lot of people were calling for MS to take Halo from 343i and get a new team on it.
So the future of Halo is basically a f2p live service with no campaign.

It was dead once Bungie bought themselves out of slavery, it just took a bit for the corpse to fall over.
i think it was dead right away. halo 4,5, and infinite are terrible games. just downright awful. 5 especially
If we are really being honest, it was dead as soon as MS bought Bungie and gave them less than a year to port to Xbox. They totally gutted the entire original concept, turned it into yet another FPS, built half a game and made you go through it backwards to pad out the length.

I have a feeling a lot of XBGS devs are looking at the whole situation with the Activision merger going down in flames with the regulators and thinking the Xbox division is not long for this world when the hammer falls.
looking what it is happening, look like ActiBlizz acquisition is make it or break it for them.
