As if those methods would stop kids from using their parent's accounts or uploading their IDs to create one.

You are still crying about me owning the game? I didn't know you couldn't talk about the game without owning it. You guys aren't only Sony bootlickers but are also ok with giving them your IDs and letting them face-scan you, interesting. Next, upload your tax history to verify that you are a 'good' person.
What type of kids do you have.

The security of the parent account and in the child account is in the parent hands… the parent should be responsible enough to not allow their kids to access their account…

The feature just help parents… it is very useful… and parents needs to do their part… teaching their kids and not allowing them have access to their accounts or ids.

I mean your kids have access to your bank accounts or credit cards too?

Nothing stopping you talking about it whether in favour or against. Many are on this forum.

You are whining to the extreme which is surprising cause you don’t even own the damn game. There’s a difference.

Also I never gave my ID when creating my PSN accounts.

This is a new feature and a welcome one to protect young gamers.

Maybe if you were a parent you would understand.

Sony own Helldivers, you sign in to PSN to play a Sony game on a Sony platform using a Sony PSN service.

Playing a Sony game on a steam service and having to sign in to PSN is bullshit.
So is playing Fortnite on an Xbox and having to sign in to epic.
So is playing diablo on Xbox or ps or steam and having to sign in to battle.net.
How is this hard to understand? I would ask if you're retarded but you're from Sheffield so I know the answer. Yes
It's not bullshit at all unless you want to start crying about people signing into their Microsoft accounts to load up windows & then signing into their steam accounts

my man the age verification is more to do with the local laws than Sony trying to get your "Top Secret" data. Most asian PSN signups don't require age verification or id

Here is how:

You can't finish signing up in the UK without verifying your age.
That's a UK law for every online account and you're in Istanbul. Troll 🤡

This.

Most countries governments are starting to regulate that… and forcing companies to verify age.

Accounts should follow the country rules.

A game company goes out of their way to be as consumer friendly as possible, cheap retail price, no timed events and season passes, and cheaply priced mtx and they still get dogpiled. This isn’t even the first time Arrow Head has gotten brigaded since release.

Even people like mat piscatella is cheering it on. All because they ask you to take two minutes to create a psn account?
I saw his tweet insinuating the game had a good run 🙄 All the biggest accounts in gaming are signal boosting the outrage. It's another coordinated campaign to create as much damage as possible.

Valve must be wondering what's going on because they had this for every mp game without any issues before and now they have to deal with thousands of refund requests.

I hope Sony doesn't back down. They never do usually but we'll see.

Wasn't that clear beforehand? Didn't it even say on the Steam page for Helldivers 2 that a PSN account had to be linked? Why is there another shitstorm now? It should really be expected that players read and understand such points BEFORE buying.
Yes and yes. The shitstorm comes from the fact that people didn't read the description and were allowed to buy and play the game without being forced to make a PSN account at launch, because Arrowhead had some issues and disabled it temporarily. Now they're bringing it back.

So my friend started complaining about this just now. I asked if he remembered he had to link his PSN account on launch day because I remember him complaining back then. He confirmed that Steam required a PSN account to be linked on day 1.

He then complained about PSN getting hacked *all the time*. I think these guys are given a script, lol

The thing is HD2 required users to link a PSN account on day 1. Arrowhead must have removed that requirement afterward.

Yes, you just have to look at Yuniac here posting the same thing about PSN getting hacked with a pre-written list of dates or the fake concern for people in foreign countries getting banned. They all repeat each other and use the same arguments. It's the xbot playbook 101.
