It's taking you so long to beat this, and to think a few folk had reviews ready shortly after the direct...
It's fine, take your time, unless you put it down for a bit.....Just found it strange since the game is so engaging and all..... Anyways, no biggie. I guess you can do a review, though, I already know your score....The reviews seem to put it around the 11 hour mark for completion.
I'm at the 10~ hour mark now and pretty sure I'm at the final stretch.
Why y'all need to create fake controversies

I guess you need to give them that 1 hour to write the review as well, I think its great of them to play for 11 hours straight and then go straight into writing said review. The reviews seem to put it around the 11 hour mark for completion.

Not if the game is just that good, GOTY contender calibre, I may even lose some sleep.......That was Infamous 1 for me on PS3, I could not put it down, just couldn't....I don't even know what you're trying to imply here, most of us, I assume, are working adults who can't devote a full day to gaming unlike a reviewer whose job it is to review games.
Get a grip

What i really don't understand, is why the game was kept under wraps for so long, If it's such a little gem why would you now want to talk about it and build some positivity for Microsoft, god knows they could use some about now.
But why, what were they afraid of, backlash from their fans for making something totally different?According to Johannas (in the same stream where he said the game was pitched initially in 2017), it was his pitch to Bethesda to have it shadow drop and Bethesda and MS approved it.

I find it really strange, a great game is being hidden away for what reason?
Brilliant idea to shadow drop HiFi Rush. It's a small AA type game and doesn't need a year's worth of marketing. Also, since the Developer Direct was Microsoft's first show in this format/layout, why not have a little something extra as a surprise and get people talking? And since the game is actually good, it will get nothing but positivity around it instead of it having months of potential negativity around it for no apparent reason. A good comparison would be Destruction All Stars. I don't believe that game is as bad as the Open Critic score suggests but it had eight months of negativity around it, a $70 price tag day one until Sony delayed it to early 2021 and said it would be on PlayStation Plus day one. Imagine a small State of Play and this game being shadow dropped. Not only would the game have avoided the 62 Open Critic score that it currently has but most importantly, people who have PlayStation Plus (like Game Pass now for HiFi Rush) would have been able to just download the game with no influence from anyone or anything and just play the game for themselves.
Hoping Microsoft has another Developer Direct when The Wandering Tower is ready for release and it gets shadow dropped. This is the heavily rumored Dragon's Crown type game from Stoic who developed the Banner Saga games. Small AA type games should be shadow dropped as it greatly benefits the game and the development studio that made it because it eliminates any chance of any negativity whatsoever because instead of watching/following the game for months/years to only end up disappointed or let down due to being over hyped, it's like, boom, here's the game for you to just download and play it for yourself.
A perfect move and decision by Microsoft in my opinion and for these small AA type games, I hope they do it again.
I think the game would have done just as well, maybe better since it would have more reviews at launch. Looking at the reviews so far it's been received very well.
But can't deny that the "and it's available TODAY" at an event has a kind of magical feel that you don't really see these days.
All in all, Johannas and his team did good.
Why would I not think this, surely if it was so amazing and I am sure they employ a bunch of testers to test it, they would of received feedback on just how good the game would be.Shadow dropping is a very novel thing, why would you assume Johannas did this to avoid some kind of backlash.
The game has been out for a few days and has received unanimous praise. The 'avoiding backlash' would make sense if it was being received poorly after launch.
Johannas just wanted to try something different and it seems to have worked well in this example.
Why are you talking like Microsoft and AdamsBallsack are two separate entities? Why would I not think this, surely if it was so amazing and I am sure they employ a bunch of testers to test it, they would of received feedback on just how good the game would be.
Microsoft is just like you, they love to plug game pass at every opportunity, why would they not do it with something that is actually good for a change.
The only thing I dislike about adam is his disingenuous fanboy takes, its sad to see, he should, he does know better. Why are you talking like Microsoft and AdamsBallsack are two separate entities?
I doubt he does. The only thing I dislike about adam is his disingenuous fanboy takes, its sad to see, he should, he does know better.
