Unlike Xbox, the PlayStation generates profit for Sony, so they don’t need to even consider that sort of thing for a millisecond.

Doesn't matter. Xbox cancelled games in development for PS5 and none of them were under contract to come to PS. We know this because the games Sony signed were timed exclusive even after the acquisition.

Why are we pretending this is some mistake or a coincidence? Microsoft's CFO, the man in charge of money, outright said this is what they'll be doing from now on.

What do you mean? These games were 3rd party independent, now they are not. The context has changed.
