Yeah because TLOU2 and GOT were the last ones where they didn't have PC in mind.
They were published when Sony already were a couple years working on their PC strategy. With people like Nixxes porting their engines and people like PS Studios Creative Arts (+ND support) working on the rermake and Iron Galaxy (+ND support) working on the Unchrted remasters.

They knew these games were going to be ported, but like the future SP ones, ported by other teams, not by them. So they didn't have to make these games with PC in mind.

Yes, and having to make changes to your engines in order to make the porting to PC easier is in addition to that. Just look at how TLOU1 released on both platforms and in which state Naughty Dogs are.
The code added to the engine by the porters doesn't affect the console version of future games made with this engine: only affects their PC version. TLOUP1 was mostly developed by PS Studios Creative Arts, who pitched the project and leaded it until Hermen got in charge and knew about the project.

ND was working on TLOU2, later in TLOU Online when branched out the MP mode, and when released TLOU2 moved to an unannounced new SP game, plus later in early 2023 another SP game.

The ND teams supporting the external teams who were working on Uncharted collection and TLOUP1 and their PC versions were small and mostly juniors being trained.

I can either believe you, or what Naughty Dogs says...

Following UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection’s PC release, we focused our efforts and learnings onto the PC version of The Last of Us Part I. Behind the scenes, we worked towards ensuring that The Last of Us Part I would be an authentic, satisfying experience for those playing on PC. The challenges we overcame and the successes we achieved in our previous modern PC release empowered us to dig into Part I’s PC development. New projects bring new challenges and opportunities alike.

From a technical perspective, Naughty Dog’s engine used for Part I was optimized for PS5. Moving it to PC meant a large amount of tuning, tweaking, and even re-thinking, especially when it came to how we utilized the GPU.

We knew every modification, whether a slight tweak or complete adaptation to the PC platform, made a big impact on players’ experiences. Developing for both platforms will also allow us to incorporate lessons learned from either platform into the overall way our games are designed and played.

You wanted examples, I gave you some.
You want evidence that PC is to be blamed, I can't provide it, neither can you provide for the contrary.

Yet we have many examples in other multiplatform devs, which regularly launch games in a sub-optimal state because of having to support multiple platforms.

You say it yourself:

You think adding more platforms helps? Especially a platform like PC with such an heterogenous hardware landscape?

I'm not whining because I'm paying for online, but "whining" because the game I paid full-price, which requires an online subscription to be played on PlayStation, didn't work because the capacity wasn't enough to support both platforms. Isn't this a quality issue?

You gave the most vague examples possible which could be attributed to a dozen different things without any evidence whatsoever and completely fail to realize that the burden of proof falls to the claimant. You make the claim therefore you are required to provide the evidence.

Nobody needs to provide evidence to the contrary, that's not how anything in reality works. You're committing a total logical fallacy and expecting me to prove your baseless claim as being incorrect. It's completely ridiculous propaganda, and it's shit posting.

As the other guy notated this was happening with other games which had no involvement with PC until years later. So attributing this to PC with citing examples of it taking place regardless of whether PC is involved or not basically evaporates your entire point.

You guys are creating your own monsters and then torturing yourselves with them.

It's a PR quote, they won't say there "hey, most of the work made in this remake and its PC port wasn't made by us, but instead was mostly handled by PS Studios Creative Arts and the support of the typical PS Studios/SIE internal support teams plus the external outsourcing studios Furmosa Interactive, Virtuos, Lemon Sky Studios, The Studio of Secret6, Inc., RedHot CG - A Keywords Company, Little Red Zombies Studios, BOSi Art Studios, Brandoville Studios, Original Force, Studio Hive, Mineloader Studios, Visual Dart, PassionRepublic, Mood Visuals, XAC etc. as you can double check in the game credits"

Still feels more trustworthy than a forum post of a random user....

By the way, I also doubt they would come out and tell how troublesome development has been/is going to be because of PC support.

It's completely ridiculous propaganda, and it's shit posting.

I agree, this port begging and "PC will save PlayStation " sure feels like coordinated propaganda and shilling.

The port begging 'insult' makes sense when requests are being made, not when a company is offering up the slew of their releases to you freely.

It doesn't seem like a lot of begging is taking place when you yourself have said that Sony is releasing more games on PC this year than for their own console. Ironically it would appear that you are begging them not to.

I think few people have said that PC alone will save PlayStation, the overarching point and argument has been that expansion will. With the increase in costs, longer development times, and decreased profits a lack of expansion means death.

Reminds me of how MS was boasting that Halo infinite was a PC first title and then it turned out to be an absolute CPU hog once you entered the open world and in multiplayer.

It's PR, nothing more than that. They haven't learned much as last of us PC is still one of the worst ports of all time.

Wasn't Iron Galaxy involved with The Last of Us port?

Ironically it would appear that you are begging them not to.

Nah, I just wished they'd put focus on their actual userbase and not treat them like second rate citizens with buggy and sparse releases.

At least they aee giving me time to work on my backlog and keep some money in my pockets.

Everything I said was said by ND, the former PS Studios Creative Arts head who pitched and leaded it, the PS Studios head, Nixxes and/or can be double checked in their game credits.

And there's absolutely no source from them saying that the PC ports negatively affected the development of their games. Because obviously since ports are made by other teams can't affect them.

By the way, I also doubt they would come out and tell how troublesome development has been/is going to be because of PC support.
For sure, they would never said something you made up and never existed.

No, Iron Galaxy handled PC porting for the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection instead.

The teams involved in TLOUP1 are the ones I listed in this post, I got the list from its game credits.

With ND overviewing and supporting in both cases, obviously. While the main part of ND was focused on:
  • SP team: TLOU2, and after shipping it, their next new SP game. When they started the 2nd new SP game we know they have under development these remasters/ports and ports already were shipped
  • MP team: TLOU Online once it branched out from TLOU2
