- 10 hours of re-recorded conversations and mo-cap for all main and side quests.
- Improved character models, rendering, animations, lighting and textures.
- Full DualSense support, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, etc.
- Inclusion of Tempest 3D Audio.
- New optional accessibility feature (using sound and haptic feedback to alert players to hard-to-reach items).
- Many of HFW's accessibility features are also included.
- Update cost $10 on PlayStation and PC, even if you got the game for free during Covid thanks to the Play at Home initiative.
- Savegame files from the original game will work with HZD Remastered (so you can start immediately with NG+ if you want).

This is the reason why I appreciate indie developers more than big publishers, because indie developers are far more creative, while Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Square Enix and other big publishers only do remasters and remakes instead of taking risks with new IP. If there were no indie developers, the gaming industry would be reduced to remasters and remakes of existing games
