More people are playing the original than the remaster on launch day.

The peak player counts is hilariously low and many are poi ting out what needless exercise this was.
It'd not like it's a release of a new game. I'm not sure why ppl are expecting big numbers. It launched the same weekend as cod, dragon age and monster hunter beta. I think sony is just interested in getting it out as as a ps5 and ps5peo show piece that they can get a little extra revenue on and they are also hoping younger audience that will play lego horizon this holiday will be interested in zero dawn remastered.

Deserved. One of the most senseless remakes I've seen come about in the past five years. The original game is still perfectly fine & playable. Also, on PC there's this little thing called oh I don't know...MODS...that can transform it into something in the ballpark of the new Remaster if you get the right ones & get settings adjusted.

Games like Romancing SaGa 2 Remake are the type of remakes people want. Easily noticeable new take on an old game with plenty of QOL improvements. And yes, I know the new HZD is called a remaster but at least from a visual POV it was clearly intended as a remake.

Unfortunately for the game, prettier make-up only gets you so far when the original is still a supermodel, and after gamers just played its sequel, the other supermodel, only a year or two ago. HZD Remastered doesn't look any better than HFW so relying on "it's prettier than 2017 HZD!!" isn't much of a selling point.

Not surprised. The real data will come in once Sony goes day and date on PC which will be before the generation ends for them. Spider Man 3 being day one on PC along side being a launch title for PlayStation 6 will be massive for them when the time comes in Fall 2028.
If they want people to NOT buy the PS6 this is exactly what they need to do. But I agree they're gonna do it because they're a bunch of retards.

Did anyone expect this to be a success on PC? Lol. I can excuse them for this as there's no reason for PC folks to buy this upgrade.

Sony needs to understand they can't keep also releasing games so often on PC, that's why their games stopped selling... The elsusiveness of their games are gone... People are now just waiting on cheap sales....which is ironic considering the purpose of this Ill fated initiative to begin with

Exactly.

They have literally flooded PC with their games.

Releases for frequent than even Playstation.

Absolute madness from Sony simply to impress the shareholders.

They will learn their lesson next gen when these stupid decisions will take full effect.

Spider Man 3 launching on PC day one was in the Insomniac leak along with their entire roadmap. People thinking that the majority of console players such as myself are going to jump to PC while spending thousands of dollars more to do so is nonsensical. Those who jump from console to PC are those who were already going to do it anyway and you're not going to prevent them from jumping to PC but it wouldn't matter because Sony would still be making revenue off of those people from buying the game on Steam/Epic.

What's even funnier is people believing that after seeing what they've seen the last four years from Sony that they're not going to be day and date or believe that the console install base is going to somehow grow when in reality, it's stagnating. All Sony is doing is retaining those that they already had which isn't growth but im sure (rolls eyes) that everyone here knows better than those who are millionaires running these companies but good luck with all of that.

I'm just here to enjoy the ride while playing games on PlayStation. Whatever Sony decides to do, they do. Luckily for me, it doesn't affect me whatsofuckingever. 😂
