Steam and PC gaming is only growing. While traditional consoles are plateaued or declining. A mass market Steam OS machine could be very disruptive

Well technically "Linux" already dominates smart phones, so I guess it's possible.

Absolutely, though their OS was actually quite snappy, just very bare bones.
