No one posted this yet? Holy Shit:

"Seriously, I'm going to tell the whole truth right now.

When the merger was announced I had just started a new job and finally, for probably the first time in my life, had some savings that weren't earmarked for living expenses. Maybe 4-5k at the very most. People always talk about investing, so I figured why not try it? So I took what little I had and put it in. When it looked like the EU would deny the merger I figured, "Welp, fine with me." and pulled the cash out and put it in a mutual fund because apparently that's what you do.

That was literally my big adventure in investing. I have no clue where all you guys got 40 grand from, I'd give my left nut for that kind of cash."

This dog profitting over employee jobs 🤣🤣🤣.

waiting on that Sweet Window Central article how it is for the better

Canadian Lol GIF

The timing of that article really lets us see how deep certain media outlets are in MS' pocket. This pro MS/consolidation article comes out just a little before the reality of consolidation becomes publicly known - in this case, massive job losses while MS continues being one of the richest companies in the world.

Everything was hijacked by these soulless corporations.

Now even trying to get a job, dating someone or entertaining yourself is some sort of social experiment run to maximize the profits of some business. Just so boring.

All the big tech companies should be nuked out of existence. It just sucks that most consumers don't get it.

All WoW players in 2024 should be locked up for their own safety.

Mate, just look at this and many other threads where you have people downright dehumanising and normalising this kind of shit, people will only wake up when it affects them and what's theirs, not before.

They were free to speak up during the 2 years Activision saga. All of them were silent while Sony was the only voice against the merger.

They could even speak anonymously to journalists but instead we got reports that Activision devs were "daydreaming" about the acquisition (I still remember that embarrassing shit).

Remember this too?

All these pics were used to promote the acquisition and to show how happy the employees were. They chose their faith.

My god some of you are delusional. Do you really think the average employee is represented there? Do you really think that a fuckload of employees are not scared to speak up because they don't want to lose their job, especially in the US where virtually all states have At Will employment laws?

I have a bad feeling that all these news, are just small appetizer for something big coming next week. So guys, hold on to your butt next week and witness the eksbotz: 🤣

If Phil continues to be silent, then 100%.

Everybody thought Phil would say something amidst all the third-party rumors. He kept quiet because there was something bigger coming (layoffs).

Now if he keeps quiet again, then 100% something even bigger is coming.

FTC and CMA had open channels to hear from employees objecting to the acquisition. Nada.
For anyone with half a brain knew such mass consolidation was bad news
Instead Twitter was flooded with ABK employees cheerleading the acquisition
As I said you reap what you sow

Don't need to mention these people actively sought employment with the scummiest company in the industry and actively partook in the greed and worst monetisation practices that have greatly harmed gamers in the past decade
even if that's true, it's a bit gauche to celebrate people losing their jobs unless they're like actively committing atrocities.
some of them might have been delusionally optimistic that the new boss would be better than the old boss, but that's no reason to gloat. the asshat xbots deserve every last mocking though.

When bobby tells you your job is safe and just say you are ok with this breaks that narrative. Posts from people from last month thinking they are safe are showing up.

One good thing about all of this is that it will put the fear of god in future mergers that Microsoft will try to administer.
That implies Xbox shills have the capability to reflect and reorient themselves. If anything they're a glutton for pain, the beatings will continue until the sales improve.

I am talking specifically about the companies that might be taken over in the future and further acquisitions that Microsoft will try to undertake.

This has to give those people pause for thought.

Microsoft will continue to do what they always have done; it's a scummy company with zero morals.

You're right. As someone who went through multiple retrenchments, even during the peak of COVID lockdown, the mental strain it puts on you is horrible. Really feel for the folks who lost their jobs, even more so for the peeps who thought they landed their dream job and completely moved their entire lives and family to a whole new place. Sucks all round.
