They won’t. The only reason Elden Ring perform how it did was because of that 97 metacritic & people not believing it was that good. Just look at Armor Core that got a mod 80s & did only a low couple millions. Ofc the game was massively successful (Armor Core) because it’s been so long + it being cross gen. But if Elden Ring is rated in the low 90’s Elden Ring 2 will sell half of what it did. A large amount of people who bought ER where people who saw the 97 & couldn’t believe it bought the game & never even completed 25% of the game, actually I know a couple friends who aren’t souls player or keen to Fromsoft games & they don’t even talk or care about Fromsoft

Demon's Souls - 89
Dark Souls - 89
Dark Souls 2 - 91
Dark Souls 3 - 89
Bloodborne - 92
Sekiro - 90
Elden Ring - 96

If FromSoftware games with the benefit of Bluepoint and Nixxes start getting sub 89, we'll know why.

10 million including PC. About 5.5 million on PS4.

When the 5.5 million for PS4 were announced, the PC version was at 2.5 million.

Going by your math and logic, since then the PS4 version, available to PS5 owners (additionally to the PS4 ones), often on sale and already available for 20 bucks, sold as good as 0, while the PC version sold 2 millions copies.

Keep the shilling going.

It is basically media/shill/big part of industry VS Playstation.
They were championing FS games because they directly competes against Playstation.

Yes I love there games, but Elden Ring was definitely constantly used to say Horizon 2 sales failed and such. Which was ridiculous

Something is really wrong with you.

Most console games do NOT go on to sell millions of copies after falling off the charts and if they do, you see them back on the charts. While available on PS5, have you ever seen this game chart again?

So if the PS4 game stopped selling significant copies at 5.5 million and the PC version sold 2.5 million and the PS4 game never charted again, where do you think the difference came from?

The same people who think CCU is a measure for sales don't inherently understand that PC games sell in cycles and don't follow the same pattern as most console games.

Find me one month where it charted on PS4 after 2019.

Yep, using logic with you is useless. I too keep asking myself what's wrong with me by keep trying it.

Most console games do NOT go on to sell millions of copies after falling off the charts and if they do, you see them back on the charts. While available on PS5, have you ever seen this game chart again?

In which charts do you expect it to show up if it steadily sold low numbers monthly? Why didn't the PC version chart?

So if the PS4 game stopped selling significant copies at 5.5 million and the PC version sold 2.5 million and the PS4 game never charted again, where do you think the difference came from?

YOU said it stopped selling on PS4 and PS5. Not even 500k in 4 years. That's crazy if you really believe it.

Find me one month where it charted on PS4 after 2019.

How often did it chart on PC in the last 4 years to make up a difference of 4.5 mio?

Sonys only good purchase was insomniac but now they just manage them poorly such a shame
Housemarque delivered arguably the best game this generation so far for them, in my opinion.

I don't think Insomniac is managed poorly they got 3 games out this generation with another on the way. I think the leaks ruined some excitement but they haven't had a missfire.

Bluepoint on the other hand has definitely been the biggest disappointment.

You comment is based on subjective or objective metric?
What's objective? They are objectively not the best game makers from a UI design, Quest design, technical artistry, or technical proficiency standpoints. Subjectively they only compete for the spot of best in terms of combat feel, visual art design, and level design. Subjectively they are nowhere near close to best in terms of character/costume design, voice or music direction, multiplayer/pvp combat design, narrative direction or writing.

They’ve released 3 games since 2020. All high quality. Spiderman 2 getting 90.
Not many studios in the world are doing that. And people are expecting it 4 games within 6 years with Wolverine.

Its probably one of the best run studios currently

I think it was a good buy, but Sony should of got them working on remakes instead of God of War Ragnarok. I mean there known because of great remakes.

They made SOTC and Demons Souls in 2 years. Quality reamakes. Sony could of got the same teams or numbers to help Bluepoint make 2 more Remakes since Demons Souls by now
