Sony really need to do more. Final Fantasy is a start... and a slim model will help, I'm sure but they need a few pieces of software that really push people to buy in a big way.

They need to stop the PC ports.

Yeah, or at least create a proper handheld that doesn't require a PS5. PC gaming is growing in Japan and it's only gonna grow more with all these PC handheld devices coming out, Sony's current strategy is just speeding up their death in Japan.

Exactly, I don't know what they're thinking....

PC ports just help people transition away from console. It goes against the entire idea of even having a console.
Then the spicy anime games that are popular to play at home in privacy on PC are not allowed on PSN....so they push that entire crowd away too.

Then, they have no exclusive collectibles for the most popular games in Japan and Monster Hunter and other huge games have no PS5 version this gen yet.

No 1st party games, because Japan Studio is gone.

It's just a multitude of errors and bad decisions regarding the territory.

Meanwhile the "kiddly console", Nintendo Switch, is filled with those spicy games and there's no censorship at all. Sony has gone overboard with the censorship, its kinda pathetic
