It's interesting to see comparisions vs all what the other consoles sold on their entire history, because it's interesting to see how huge PS1 and PS2 were and things changed since then as a huge portion of the Japanese gaming market moved to portables and specially mobile after then.

It would be nice to see also a launch aligned comparision, it would be more fair because PS1 or PS2 were in the market during a gazillion years and PS5 is relatively new.

Specially when 2/3 of the PS game sales are digital and when a huge portion of the software revenue doesn't come from games sales but instead from add-on sales. That ranking isn't representative at all of their software sales.
