Had no idea Sony has rejected his first pitch. I just know OD was meant for Stadia but that platform fell through before things were fully realized and he took the cloud based idea to Microsoft... Who of course wasn't gonna reject it.

But good for him. I'm not a fan of his personality but I can appreciate developers like him.

Well for me most of his games are masterpieces of their own.

Loved MGS, MGS3, MGS4, Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes, MGSV and Death Stranding.
Even not loving MGS2 I had a lot of good time with it… for me it is the weakest MGS game but still a solid release.

Some people don’t like buy Death Stranding is the best Kojima designed game… you can see how he envolver for his already high quality previous works.

I think it was a gamer lost that he could not do Silent Hills… the small demo alone was impressive.

99% of the game designers can’t think about most thing Kojima do in his games and I appreciate that a lot.

He is indeed a legend.

Miyazaki has Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Sekiro, Armoured Core, Bloodborne and Elden Ring under his belt.

Kojima is overrated and so is Kojima wannabe Druckmann.

MGS5 Was a disaster mainly because it was incomplete mess because of Konami.
MGS4 was just ok
MGS2 was undeniably un matched in its time because of cinematic story telling.

If you ask me a game designer that I don’t think is good or deserve the hype is that guy that make the Gears.

I understand the game and found it fun… I mean I liked the game and it is pretty good.

But as a design perspective it is very bland and generic.
So I don’t think he is good at game design at all but I never played another game from him so maybe I’m only being biased.

Ten minutes of Kojima presenting himself is too much for the word to bear. He’s a large presence upon gaming of course but it’s not large enough for him it seems.
