Damn man that's a shame. I had high hopes for the game. Can't believe these guys didn't learn a thing from the previous lord's of the fallen.

Guess I'll go and buy surge 2 when on sale to get my soulslike fix

Typical score for Deck 13

This wasnt made for Deck13

Meh played 45 mins but I can tell already it definitely is a poor man's Dark Souls. Lies of P feels more premium than this.

-graphics are Meh, look kind of washed out and cheap.
-controls/combat is fast and light but I tend not to like combat like that and prefer a heavier feel. I hate most Korean developed games because of that light no impact feel.
-controls and button inputs are not intuitive to me for example to do a kick you have to press R1 and L1 simultaneously. There isn't a dedicated jump button but have to sprint and press like square to jump (I hate that)
-stuttering and fps drops, this indeed does occur during cinematics. My son was watching and immediately said "dad why it's pausing like that"

Just a few quick insights. Game doesntt feel $70 premium, more like $30 binge buy. Feels like a AA type game. Wtf these ppl spend the budget on?

I can tell that if I continue I will be forcing myself to continue to play. Stay away for $70.

The difference between this and the presentation is night and day. I got the deluxe edition for $49.99 so i dont feel as ripped off.

But seeing how responsive is the devs, hopefully they will keep on working with the game.

Yes, you are right. The first one was done by Deck 13

I never thought the reviews of the original were very fair - but it certainly had issues. Lords of the Fallen 2 looks to have more varied world building and charcter building. But I may decide to wait now until I hear some feedback from regular players vs reviewers.

I wanted to believe! Even though I hated the first one as well lol Ppl said the same of Lies of P but that game is 🔥
After the first Lords and The Surge 1 and 2, I trusted the devs of Lies of P a LOT more than I had faith that somehow, some way, the new Lords wouldn't be crap. No track record at all is easier to have faith in than a bad track record!

Surge 1 was underrated, I liked the ideas it brought to the table and how heavy the combat felt. Also that sci Fi angle was a nice change of pace vs the usual fantasy/medieval setting.

Souls games nerfed poise too much after 1. I can't believe they never fixed that.

To add to this I've tried to coop play but it has not been working. A Google search also confirmed as much. This will be the last time I ever purchase a game from these devs.

40 hours in and about finished. It is a perf and error fest buttttt I have enjoyed my time with it. If it wasn't so messed up performance wise this game would be an easy 90 and definitely could hold it's own against Souls games.
