Tom Warren’s Verge and Stevivor ready to give it 7/10 and say “good game but too much of the same”
To be fair, the Verge TBD review on metacritic makes it sound like they'll give it at least an 8.5. I agree that giving certain websites more weight is dumb though.
There's also one thing that bothers me about metacritic.
big Sony games often have more than 130 reviews
Nintendo is more like 100 reviews
And Microsoft games aren't even 80-90
it's clearly not the same.
you're more likely to see your average drop with more tests than with fewer tests, especially when there's media like stevivor the verge and other crap in there.

Even if it did... it would still be fantastic and the only disappointment I would have is for the developers, who I think deserve to have a 90+ game after how hard they work.
