Wish this would have been a shadow drop instead of possibly waiting until the Fall. Hope this is a selling test for MVC4.

I know that he wants to take little credit, but you can be sure that his #freeMvC2 efforts and its success must account for a large part as to why Marvel and Capcom actually talked to one another to renew the license for this.

But this is truly the ultimate Capcom test here.
Folks need to buy this if they ever want to entertain the possibility of a brand new MvC within their lifetime.
You know Max and other Marvel oldheads are going to buy a copy for every platform for sure

We're going to see footage online of Justin Wong going to from store to stores around Vancouver and buying the shit out of the Physical PS4 copies to pump up those numbers :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I really like he’s trying to be humble and he is right, everyone showed up but his contributions to this cannot be understated. Even the work he’s doing now with Infinite and MvC3 played a big part in this. So yeah, I’m just really happy for the dude, he and the rest of the community deserves this. Justin and Max gonna buy up copies and keep it as heirlooms for their kids lol

There’s no market for third party games on Xbox outside of gamepass.

Capcom isn’t trying to punish Xbox gamers. Phil Spencer created this outcome.

Damn, we went from "no games" to "no Xbox"
Please no links from those Communists. Don't give them traffic. A screenshot will suffice.

It's true. This is why game is also skipping PS5.
Nah, it skips PS5 version because would be exactly the same but with less arcade stick support, so wouldn't make sense to make it.

This tells me those Capcom collection games on Xbox sales were abysmal.
It goes beyond the sales of their collections or the engine. Capcom published other titles in PS but not in Xbox:
  • Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2
  • Ace Attorney stuff
  • PS4 gen versions of Street Fighter 6 and RE4R
  • VR versions of RE4R and RE Village
I'd said some games don't go to Xbox because Jimbo signed so with them and/or because Capcom consider that outside their tentpole blockbuster titles their sales on Xbox are too low.

Not necessarily. Has capcom ported any MT Framework games on PS5 yet?

No, it isn't needed because they have them for PS4 and PS5 is BC.

During last gen (PS4) Capcom's big games moved to RE Engine and and since then all of them use it: DMCV, Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Rise/Wilds, RE Village/4R, Exoprimal, Dragon's Dogma 2... so there was no big MT Framework game to port.

Smaller games like Ace Attorney, Mega Man 11 and the compilations (Arcade Stadium, Street Fighter, Fighting, beat'em up, Mega Man, MvsC, Ace Attorney) or tweaked ports from old games (MH Stories 1&2) did continue using MT Framework and being released only on PS4 and not PS5.

But there are also some smaller titles like the Ghost Trick remaster or Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection that despite using RE Engine were only released for PS4 and not in PS5.

Meaning, the reason is not the engine: pretty likely Capcom thinks it doesn't make sense to release a PS5 SKU of small, not demanding games because they are going to look and perform basically like the PS4 one.

None of the bots crying about this play fighting games or ever cared about MvC. They just love making noise.

Fighting games are dead on Xbox. With one move - SFV exclusivity - Sony cratered the FGC on Xbox and secured its place as the de facto home of fighting. Then they bought EVO to really drive the message home. Look at any FG sales split where they're available. It's 10:1. Anyone who buys fighting games is not on Xbox, so it's just vile fanboys screaming into the void who are crying about this.

Imagine when MS realize they can rebirth KI fighting scene releasing it in PS5.
