Xbox is an impossible situation with GamePass now. You either 1) leave CoD off of GamePass and piss off all of the fans who thought they'd get Day 1 major games including CoD, or 2) Put CoD on GamePass, which will force you to double or triple GamePass prices, which will be a hilarious gaming apocalypse like we've never seen before.
Jaffe's a major clown. Xbox literally has data stating GP doesn't work. Not sure if the video's a joke or not, since I'm not clicking on it.

Jaffe is a paid or unpaid shill for GamePass.
Likely unpaid. He has a big bug up his but when it comes to Sony as he feels hard done upon with the success of God of War without him. Had he not been pushed out at Sony he would have made millions of dollars most likely from God of War and the upcoming TV show, but he was notoriously difficult to work with.
He thought GamePass was Microsoft way of defeating Sony, but as it has predictably imploded, he's now trying to defend his shilling by saying it was the executives at Microsoft not the model itself that was faulty.
Everyone who can do simple math could see that GamePass was revenue destructive and dangerous for the industry. It's going to take a long time for GamePass subscribers to get back into the habit of buying games again, but when they do, the industry will be much healthier for it.
And unfortunately for Jaffe, Sony is probably going to see it's most successful years with no competition from Microsoft.
Jaffe is the same guy who said that Sony should have given out 3 free keys with every purchase of helldivers 2 for it not to flop. The dude has shit for brains and gets high of his own farts

In defense of Microsoft, I'm sure they had plans that have changed drastically. It took them forever to close ABK and in the meantime, their hardware sales collapsed.
Now they have to wager GamePass (the only thing keeping Xbox afloat) and ABK (The biggest part of your company now).

Seems that higher ups told Phil to stop losing billions every year and getting dozens of billions on investment and instead to turn it into something profitable, or at least to stop losing that much money with their gaming business.
I think something they'll also consider will be to stop adding their games at launch on GP, at least for CoD/Activision Blizzard games (independently if they have any deal with Sony or not, or ignoring that Ubisoft now manages their inclusion on game subs).
