Hopefully they get nice severance packages using the $105B cash MS has sitting in the bank.
Makes you wonder how long Microsoft is going to put up with the money pit that is Xbox before it’s suddenly lights out. Especially if this activision deal flops.
Hopefully tomorrow they announce Phil Spencer was one of them and Sarah Bond.

Just imagine the impact of the atom bomb that the industry will witness if Gamepass doesn't pan out to their dream of monopoly marketshare in 5-7 yrs time from now. We're about to enter a recession. Layoffs are taking place everywhere and will continue to, this isn't news.

I remember Tescos doing it in the UK as well as some banks, then they had the audacity to pay their CEOs a massive bonus.

So it seems Microsoft doesn’t have unlimited cash reserves like the Xbox community is always preaching.
Companies in the middle of acquisitions should not be allowed to lay off staff. There, I said it.
