Pulling this bit out of the tweet because it's important. Microsoft has every incentive to overestimate benefits to the market of the deal going through (as CMA has ruled they've done) and overestimate the consequences of it not going through, but this is telling. This is Microsoft not just admitting to their weakness in the marketplace (Nadella's 'we're third' schtick) but as a competitor in general. It should give all Xbots pause

Not only that, the documents say that even a medium sized acquisition in gaming would be too much for Microsoft right now.

So that could potentially rule out anything except single developers and even the bigger single developers could be difficult if the IP is big.
Does it? I hadn't read that part.

I feel like this coming week is going to be insane. Sony might feel like actually talking again and Microsoft is going to make insane statements and accusations.

The ship has already sailed on MS making insane statements and accusations. Though, as you say, perhaps there will be more to come this week. Their shills on Twitter have certainly been going all-out over the last few days.

Its now confirmed that Google is also against the deal

There were others too, from my understanding. I wonder if we'll find out who eventually. That aside, this:

...the Microsoft Cloud Remedy protects competition in a way prohibition will not.

is just laughable. They really underestimated the regulators. Given their plans for Cloud gaming and the fact that it's MS - no reasonable person would ever give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to protecting competition.

Funny how he had the energy to talk to Colin Moriarty for over an hour just a few days before this to talk about how the deal with certainly pass and that MS WILL be allowed to buy even more publishers after getting ATVI.
He works for Colin as a consultant so he has to give him priority in terms of the content he makes on this and the limitations he's currently under while recovering from his stroke.
