Eh... yes? I don't mean to be or sound rude, but if a company (of any kind) is legally unable to operate in a country, either because they can't or because they don't want to, then the people of that country won't be able to have access to that company's products.

Maybe the default attitude in your country is that stealing is ok. I know many SEA countries think nothing of piracy and street vendors exist that sell piles of burned cds and dvd.

But you have to realize that this is parasitic behavior. The developers that make these games need to be paid or they will be shut down, we already have thousands of people, potentially ten thousand or more people laid off from the industry over the past year and a half.

People have made accounts in different countries for a decade or more now. Plenty of americans and europeans have accounts in new zealand simply to play games a few hours early on release day.

Also, you're not making enemies. Just because I disagree vehemently with the idea that people should pirate a game simply because it's not for sale in their country doesn't mean I hate you.

Speaking from personal experience too. I guess depends on which country we are talking about. In the city I lived in we had 30+ gaming stores. And that was just one city. Huge market. In any case, all Sony has to do is let people pay on PSN with their cards. Just like Steam, it works pretty much everywhere.

Then maybe buying a PS5 and creating a fake account is the easiest way to get the Sony games you like in a legal manner. No VPNs needed or so.

Unfortunately the crybabys on Steam were so loud that Sony had to handle. That was their only solution at that time. Maybe they will find a solution to support those countries in the future, but I wouldn't count so much on that.

we know your situation, it happens on Playstation too or other platforms. there are games specific for japan. if you want to play those, create JPN account, import physical or just deal with it as it is and move on. thing is, PC killed physical so you have no option there.

Sega just released physical Yakuza game in asia and japan only. so people, who aren't buying digital, has only 2 options, import game or just let it go.

True, all of those countries combined, are not even 20% profitable as the UU and Canada for example alone. Not to mention UK and W. Europe, way bigger market and richer customers ( and more of them).
