Say bye bye to Final Fantasy, Persona, Yakuza, Monster Hunter & essentially any major 3rd party game that wouldn’t released on Nintendo & only release on PS.
But all of those are on Nintendo platforms
MonHun in particular even had quite a few Ninty exclusives

Monster Hunter found its stride on Nintendo platforms in Japan. They tried overseas with Tri and probably later on DS or something but it didn’t work.

World is was made it a global phenomenon tho. That was something else and I loved it. That needed modern online as part of the magic.

Wilds could be scaleable to run on Switch 2 in some way satisfactory and severely gimped way but I’d have my doubts when it’s likely to run poorly on current gen not a ps5 pro or pc.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Monster Hunter Generations on the 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was the first Monster Hunter game to surpass 1 million units shipped in Europe and North America and was the fastest selling Monster Hunter title in North America (at the time).

World definitely was a game changer for the series though, if unique. Rise after it was more in line with their older stuff comparatively.

You live in cloud cuckoo land if you think handhelds will somehow be on par with home consoles eventually meaning home consoles technology growth will have to stagnate.

A handheld will never compete with a home console for obvious reasons even you know about.

Just another one of those rubbish threads from you.

Elden Ring a current generation game is coming to next gen Switch 2? Oh my God Playstation is doomed.

What happens when Elden Ring 2 is announced?

Will that run on Switch 2? Please.
I’m sorry to tell you but a handheld is a console. What’s the difference between Switch & PS5? They both play games on a TV/Monitor. You can argue handheld consoles have a benefit & are superior to traditional box consoles because it can be taken outside & played mobile unlike a PS5.

Switch 2 will get more 3rd party day 1 support & people like you will still underestimate Nintendo because there format.

Oh & your likely to see PS transition to handhelds turning the PS6 to a switch hybrid handheld then just another box under your tv console atleast if there where smart & cared about being competitive, releasing a console at profit day 1 & cater to the growing Chinese/India market that likes mobile devices that can be taken & played outside anywhere on the go.

Not sure about Playstation being xbox now, but you, for sure positioned yourself as clown with very first comment.

But look, we can use the word too, cope cope cope.
PS isn’t that far behind Xbox given the trends, the fact we still talk as if Xbox is even a competitor to compare to PS is down bad. Compare PS to Nintendo that’s PS true & direct competitors. Doesn’t really matter what we say all that matter is Nintendo is well positioned if not positioned themselves in a way to overtake PS in the 3rd party space.

It might sound farfetch but as someone said before I can see Nintendo infusion there ip such as Zelda, Metroid etc into 3rd party version as incentive to make 3rd party develop & gamers to chose the Nintendo version over PS. PS should be worry & put there guards up because the way they been moving the past 4 has been nothing more then extremely dangerous & short sighted. IMO Sony/PS should’ve secured there future buying publishers like MS/Xbox acquiring & ensuring Capcom, Square Enix & Kadokawa/Fromsoft games to PS if not making them exclusive to be at scale from a studio output & ip power level to compete w Nintendo because from a ip standpoint Sony/PS doesn’t really have anything near Mario or Pokemon & even games like Zelda are releasing faster then GOW while selling on par if not greater then some of PS top franchises that release every 5+ years.

OP and I are both drawing parallels and coming to similar conclusions. Aka using common sense, which you fam girls seem to lack. So no hijacking here.
IMO the biggest threat towards PS/Sony is Nintendo blurring the line of 3rd party support & if there console is at PS4 level it’s good enough for both hardcore & casuals to play quality games from both first party & third party. GOW ragnarok, TLOU2, Horizon, GT7 are all PS4 games. Major key games such as COD & GTA is 100% THREAT if it’s available on Nintendo which is likely. Not to mention 3rd party Japanese publisher releasing key games mainline major game now releasing on Nintendo day 1 or witching 1 year ie Monster Hunter Wilds, FF 17 & even Persona 6 games that would either be exclusive to PS or release on PS console & not on Nintendo because of power.

The chase of power is no longer worthy especially as ai further blurs the line it all comeback if not is even more important to have REAL exclusive that can’t be played anywhere else & that’s something PS doesn’t have. I’m honestly surprised PS/Sony hasn’t been able to realized this back in 2020 the fact the decided to not buy Capcom, Square, Kadokawa/Fromsoft & secure PS future secure ip & it’s competitive ability shows PS rn is blindside by short term growth/profit. Which is crazy because it’s pretty clear what is & will happen w the Switch 2 & Switch 3. Sony/PS walking in dangerous territory that they themselves have put themselves if I’m being honest

Switch isn't a home console. Any less than Mobiles are home console or a calculator.

Here it is, more nonsensical "dvd gimmick", and "steep discouts" while nintendo nickel and dimed all nintendrones. And you speak about the cope.

Will you write something reasonable and sensible or just straight up will keep yapping with diretribes?
Saying Switch isn’t a home console is silly when PS own exclusive “home console” Games are releasing on Nintendo Switch & PC. At the end Nintendo Switch is a gaming devices may not be strictly a home console but it’s certainly a hybrid home console either way there both consoles. You can argue long term even devices such as Apple IPhone can be hybrids home console if 3rd party console developers start developing on IPhones whether they choose or iPhone gets more power or Apple creates a handheld that acts like Nintendo Switch of a hybrid home console

Nintendo themselves consider it a home console & even PS in the leak document consider Nintendo devices a home console just at a format of a handheld.

I agree with you on this. Switch is a handheld.
Isn’t handheld still a “console” the handheld part is only the format?

You can use Switch like a PS5 where it’s plugged to the tv & you play using a controller in the couch. Switch & PS5 are both consoles. Feels like we put “home” to distinguish them but ultimately doesn’t have much differentiation.

PS Vita was a console in the handheld/mobile format but it had its own games & storefront that store games.

Elden Ring is already available on Steamdeck and other PC handhelds, so the newness of handheld factor like with DS Remastered is not there. Some of you act like Switch 2 won't need time to build up an install base, while it will be in a cross-gen period and for certain 3rd party titles will probably have a handicapped online experience.

MH Worlds was a game changer, best selling Capcom game of all time. Series moves consoles, in Japan, it sold around 1,5 million in its first 3 days on PS4 in Japan alone (is it dumb they hiked the price of PS5 there for sure).
Sony already geared up with Capcom for marketing of Wilds & PS5 Pro which is smart, I played the Beta this morning it's excellent.

What? Xbox, PS & Nintendo are consoles

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Switch
Man, do i need to proceed with the basics.

All these things are Consoles, handheld or home console.

After that it splits into categories by their primary usages. We use that classifications in almost all our live pheres, from Cars to whatever you want to name.

PS5, Xbox SX primary goal is to connect to a tv and play at home.
Switch, primary goal is to be portable holding device, aka handheld, that is why it has battery, screen and controls.

So all the other mumbo jumbo is nonsensical yapping and can't hold any scrutiny.

Exactly these guys are talking here like the Switch 2 will be 150 million at launch.

It’s a new console which will need several years of sales to even be considered a primary platform for 3P.

It’s copium. Switch is a handheld.

Nintendo legitimately lost the console war and got pushed to only making handhelds. Xbox just with this gen and have become third party.

I actually find this absolutely crazy because it’s sorta unprecedented. I like Sony and all but there’s needs to be another competitor. You’d think Apple would see the opportunity. Then again… I don’t think anyone thought Xbox would tank bad again.

So when the PS6 is a hybrid handheld like Switch will we say PS6 & Nintendo Switch 2 aren’t competing in the console market? Handhelds are just evolutions of consoles they do the same thing as traditional box consoles but they can be played mobile. This is the direction everyone is going because why make the PS6 yet again another box console that’s stuck in your home when you can make a console that’s portable & can be played outside the house. Nintendo essentially made there storefront portable wherever they go while PS & Xbox lack behind even Valve sees the value in making there Steam storefront be access outside house where the Steam storefront in the past where only accessible at home through a PC

Handhelds are the future of console & it’s clear Xbox, Steam & PS think so by either making 1 & testing/rumor to make one.

Nintendo is the smartest they took the console market & folded it with mobile & fuse both market into 1. Valve is doing the same folding PC & console/mobile into 1 w the Steamdeck.
