GTA releasing in Year 3-Year 5 is perfect timing for pushing console sales as these are usually the build up to peak and peak years respectively. In this case the release will fall in Year 4.
Wondering if its going to be PC Day 1, as opposed to a protracted release. Needless to say it benefits Sony greatly that it be protracted.
And it has been my understanding that it also benefits Take-Two due to the piracy concerns with PC, but above all, setting consumer expectations in its rightful place, which not many developers pay due diligence to. Obviously if you have a free-to-play online title, or online-only title you've more or less done your due diligence in this regard when it comes to PC. It's obviously games with single-player components that need to carefully think about these things when angling for that full-price $70 sale.

PS5 sales are gonna start to fall off next year without a doubt regardless of gta6… This is its peak year.
It’s going to higher than PS4 still.
Of course it’s not going to be 25M every year. What’s so shocking about that?
prolly wont even drop by that much, the bigger games will lessen the drop so i predict 21 million next year sake of GTA6 and BlkOps.
2025 will be the real drop off, right into next gen. Just like every other gen.
