Death stranding and GoT directors cut didn’t have any new story content. GoT Iki Island could be bought separately so that’s not part of the directors cut.

• Ghost of Tsushima: The director's cut is the DLC for Iki island + a couple other things. What you paid extra was for PS5 specific improvements, which came at a cost of $10.
• Death Stranding: The director's cut includes story content, new equipment, new side-content.

Edit: To make it clear, It was not possible to buy Iki island without buying the director's cut expansion. It was possible to buy the director's cut expansion without the PS5 improvements.

What new story content does DS directors cut add? it doesn't !!! It's just dualsense features, quality of life improvements, and better combat. Because thats what a directors cut is in playstation terms. Look at Horizon FW, the community had to bend Jims arm to make it a free upgrade as promised, and thats why Burning Shores is called Burning Shores and not "Horizon FW: The Director's cut". So yes, GoT upgrade is called the directors cut, but the expansion itself is just Ikishima Island, the Directors cut is all the little upgrades that should've been free. Case closed

Yes it could, ikishima island could be bought without all the paywalled ps5 upgrades. Thats what I meant, yes it’s still called the “directors cut” but there’s nothing directors cut about it. The Director's Cut cost $20. The extra $10 was for a PS5 feature set ON TOP OF DC. My claim was that TLOU 2 PS5 is likely not a Director's Cut unless it has story content.
