The pixel remasters also have a CRT filter option

Won't say it's completely awful like @anonpuffs feels, but it's not a great filter. CRTs gave a natural slight spherical curve at the corners of the image, and soft bloom effect. This filter lacks both.

Granted, really good CRT filters can be hard to get right, but I'd think a major games publisher with experience making games back in the day for that type of technology, would have the means to get it on-point.

All I can translate

Lets-and to work-ok team and-Square Enix-our users-the-our partners-

By the way, is that Jason Ranald whatever his name is. The hardware guy? Either they’re talking about new hardware or they’re figuring out to work on the Series Potato.

But yeah, all this looks silly and waste of time. They’ve been trying with Japanese games since the 360 and it doesn’t work.

MS owns 2 large publishers and they still feel they need to beg for games. This company is something else i’m telling you.

🤡
Im gonna start saying Series Potatoe 😂🤣

Sony/PS loosing Square Enix exclusivity for franchises like Neir, FF & KH in 1 generation to Xbox & Nintendo Switch 2 would be funny & show how horrible Sony/PS leadership & vision for PS is.

Buying Square should’ve been #1 goal after MS bought Zenimax & it will be funny if some other publisher bought Square Enix like the Saudis, Tencent/NetEase or one of the big American companies.

Gaming continues to grown & owning the studio & ip becomes more important as you competition increases w more platforms like Switch 2, Meta, Valve/Steam, Rog, possibly Tencent, Apple etc joins the hardware/platform war. But not just that owning the ip & studio to expand to other market like Japan/India (Asia) where gamers don’t play GOW they like Dragon Quest or more artistic cute anime style games & or lean to multiplayer gacha games w waifus.

Sony bought even in what 2020 & still have no presence in the the FGC w first party fighting game w Sony/PS own ip or characters where tf is PS allstars 2 or a Demon Slayer Fighters? Or The Boys x Mortal Kombat? Or a Destiny fighting game you can even have aspects from mainline Destiny game & inovate on the fighting scene imagine a traditional fighting games but you have your own customizable character & by winning games you unlock loot & use that loot to boost your stats & use new weapons that changed your attacks? Or even a platform fighting game like smash but Destiny theme where you play pvp or pve & by winning games you unlock new loot to customize your character & you can change out the weapon to have a new playstyle just like that that would revolutionize the fighting scene where fighting games gameplay is lock behind a character w lock specific play style? Idk I’m just spitting ideas.

Either way looks like Square Enix will move away from PS which is honestly sad because you only have PS failure leadership to blame for not securing there future & lock Ong things down. Capcom & Square would’ve been under PS if PS was more aggressive in acquisition especially w studios & publisher w iconic ip & proven cadence. PS already lost Sega
