Let's be honest we need a showcase more than PlayStation needs a showcase.

As I remember Druckmann said they were going to show more of TLOU Factions next year. If they show more of an already announced game I think will be Spider-Man 2. Regarding game announcements, if they make one, I think it could be only one of the many PSVR2 launch games that are to be announced: maybe GT7 getting VR support, maybe a Half Life Alyx port or maybe some 2nd party new IP.

Regarding the GoWR State of Play I agree that isn't needed, but they made it for all their main exclusives so I think we'll get one to show its launch trailer and a nice gamaplay footage showing some new moves, mechanics, enemies or areas.

Regarding the showcase, I think in E3 is a good spot. By then I assume they may already have stabilized the supply and would have balanced it with the demand. All the announced games and PC ports will have been released, and the launch window PSVR2 games too, so will only have to show more Spider-Man 2 (if not released in H1 2023) and Wolverine. So will be time to announce stuff, games under development will have had more time to be more completed and also will be good timing to go back to E3, where I assume MS and Nintendo will attend too.

Yeah, Druckmann did say that but if Factions is first half 2023, I would think that they would show some kind of teaser trailer at The Game Awards due to the massive audience that it gets every year. Spider Man 2 is definitely a possibility even though I think Sony holds it for the major showcase in 2023. TGA wise, I think it would be Factions and HFW expansion. I really think they save the PSVR 2 game reveals for a separate showcase in early 2023.

The State of Play for their other games were further out than 4 weeks and HFW was 9 months before release. I just don't see Sony doing a State of Play for GOWR because they could have a launch triler and that's it. We all know what to expect and does anyone really want to see anymore? I know I don't. I'll watch the launch trailer to get more hyped for the game and that's more than enough in my opinion.

I agree with the last part. I also don't think Sony is fully ready to show their next games especially when they always want them to have an excellent showing the first time. 8 months from now makes sense to show the few games we know of now and a bunch of reveals.
