Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad franchise if it was as bad as haters claim it wouldn't have sold well enough to get a sequel & vr spin off game approved
Woke dinosaurs game. That’s an achievement. yeah I even finished that terrible vr game.

Horizon aside, hulst don’t care about PlayStation. He will bring everything to pc and devalue the brands and exclusives

Sony decided to remain in house with their new CEOS (no surprise). We know Hulst being with PS for a long time now and apparently so has the Hideaki guy, he's been with Sony since 2005-06. Talk about the definition of East meets West. Lol.

To tear it down, Hermen Hulst as the CEO of the Studios Business Group will be handle the Games and Hideaki Nishino as CEO for platforms will be responsible for negotiations.

Yeah i'm more interested in what he can do as i am guessing he should be able to make more or stronger bonds with Asian markets / Dev Teams

not really. that little shit will manage PS studios. automatic L
Hideaki Nishino will be as CEO of Platforms be responsible for negotiations/3rd Party stuff. Ergo exclusive games. Hermen will be only 1st Party studios to handle.

Okay that makes it clearer. So Hulst is in charge of software development and transmedia push, and Nishino is in charge of the actual PlayStation platform including hardware, tech, peripherals, (I assume) platform marketing & communications, and 3P relations.

You know what? I'm actually quite fine with that set-up. I don't know a lot about Nishino but I think I've heard their name mentioned a couple times.

Hulst current role before being named one of the CEOs was overseeing PS 1st party studios and it's looking like his new role as CEO will remain that way in one aspect.

It sounds like Hermen is doing the same job but with a different name? He was already managing PS Studios 🤷‍♂️

Yes his job clearly hasn’t changed other then that PlayStation Studios as a whole is now the Studios Buisness group

The interesting thing is why they split the role half half with the other guy and what it means for the future

Guys at leadt the part we csre for is managed by a Japanese. He will be responsible for negotiations (including M&A activities) and 3rd Party stuff. I feel he can save Sony's 3rd Party relationships. At leadt he will secure exclusive stuff. As CEO he can bring more Japanese games to PlayStation.
