Thts what I'm expecting. I think many are expecting that. Nothing crazy. It will be a State of play, mark my words
It's expected to go big so they better.I hope that this time Sony knows how to publicize this game, there are some very talented people working on it, I hope they know what they're doing
Marketing does not grant an "it" factor. Sometimes marketing can bring you farther away from that.Well it’s their studio. I expect better marketing for a PlayStation studio product. It also makes you wonder if Sony thought Helldivers would sell at all. I doubt they put as much money into Helldivers comparatively to any of their internal projects and with how it was contracted to a studio outside their own.
And I said this about Helldivers and got laughed at but it’s the trend… an online game doesn’t need to rely on marketing oh so much when a game has the pedigree and the gameplay. They’ll just blow up and social media and players will do it better than anything else.
Lots of talk lately on blaming marketing for recent industry flops. As if another dance number or musical performance helped Hellblade or Alan Wake. No… that’s not it. They just read player’s needs and wants wrong. Do we think any major release is cheap to make? So even if you love such games etc… if they didn’t make a profit that might be saying goodbye to more sequels if not studio closures and gutting.
Sony can't rely on "organic" marketing for its GAAS games. If it invests 1/4 of what it invests in marketing single-player games, that will be enough. Or show a gameplay and hope it's a hitWell it’s their studio. I expect better marketing for a PlayStation studio product. It also makes you wonder if Sony thought Helldivers would sell at all. Yeah nothing else comes to mind. I'm looking forward to this, Wukong and Phantom Blade.Well now that I know Concord is releasing this year I could care less about a showcase/state of play, that's the only game I wanted to see as no other 1st party releasing this year.
